Author's Note: Hey everyone. I was bored so I feel like making another chapter of TCR. Oh! By the way, tomorrow's my first day working at my local library. The only downside is that I can't make money there...though my dad says he'll give me $10 every time I go there (which will be twice a week). And Thursday's...you guessed it! MY BIRTHDAY! I'll be 16...much to my own dismay. If you're wondering why I say that, I'll tell you later. Anyway, I better get crackin'! Here's chapter 43! Read and review nicely please! NO FLAMES!!! Happy reading!

CHAPTER 43: The Sound of a Butterfly's Wings

Monday, July 12, 2035

The morning sky was purely a mixture of navy blue, Bengal orange, and a slight tint of light purple. The bright, yellow sun was making an effort to have it's rays pierce through the clouds and reach for the earth down below. The little town of Kisara was not quite active just yet. There were very few people walking the streets and few cars driving along the streets. The morning was usually as peaceful, tranquil, and quiet as most nights in the spring. Maybe almost like a winter wonderland kind of quiet. No loud sound echoed in the air. The smallest of sounds you could hear were the cars going by and people talking.

A single, tiny butterfly fluttered gently along the cool morning air.

It was a small one. It's forewings have black veins, so it's likely to be a male. The inner sides of it's wings were white while the other sides were yellow along with large, vermilion red spots beyond the postdiscal fascia. This butterfly was known as the Common Jezebel. While normally seen in Sri Lanka or India, lately they have been introduced in countries like Japan and Korea for some unknown reason. The little butterfly gently fluttered it's wings as it proceeded to fly somewhere along Kisara.

The little butterfly then came across 'Kisara Hotel'. It's a well-known hotel in Kisara were many people live or stay for a while. The small creature saw a small vase containing small, light purple flowers sitting in an open window. These flowers were lavenders and they were mostly seen in Hokkaido. The little butterfly slowly fluttered to the flowers and gently sat upon them. But what it didn't know was that right next to the open window...someone was sleeping in a bed and was beginning to wake up.

The person was a young male teenager of about 16-18 years of age. He has slightly messy, midnight blue hair and has crimson red eyes like blood. He has pale white skin, but was definitely not albino. He is wearing light blue pajamas consisting of a short-sleeved shirt with buttons and matching pants that went slightly below the knees. He woke up slowly and sat himself up. He rubbed his hands in his eyes for a bit to get rid of the yellow things in his eyes (what are those called again?) that appear when people sleep. He then turned around and saw the butterfly sitting on the lavender flowers. The boy smiled gently at the sight.

He then proceeded to look around his room. It was a normal bedroom with a small night stand a few feet from his bed, a little TV in the corner sitting on a small table, a brown desk and a chair, and a computer on another desk which was about a few feet away from where the TV was. He also saw some items that were on the desk that didn't have the computer. It was a set of paper, a small plastic box with paint in it, some small paintbrushes, some pencils and pens, a phone, a book, a box of colored pencils, and a cup. He slowly walked off of his bed and slowly walked to the desk. The butterfly remained where it was. The boy took a tablet, a piece of paper, the box of colored pencils, a normal pencil, and an eraser. He slowly walked back to the bed, sat on it gently so that he wouldn't scare the butterfly, put the piece of blank paper on the tablet, pulled out a pencil and began to draw.

He was sketching the butterfly that was on top of the flowers. The butterfly continued to stay still. The boy then turned to his night stand and saw the little clock. It read 6:43 AM. It was quite early in the morning, but he didn't mind. He then turned back to the butterfly and proceeded to draw it first. He smiled as he was drawing. He continued to watch it so that he would be able to get a good look of it. He tried to be quiet so that he wouldn't scare it. A few minutes passed and he finished drawing the butterfly. He now proceeded to color it in with the colored pencils. He pulled out black, yellow, and red orange and began coloring his drawing of the butterfly. A few more minutes later, he finished coloring in the butterfly. He looked at it along with the actual one, who continued to sit on the purple flowers. He smiled gently. The drawing was flawless, almost like looking into a mirror. Almost like an actual clone of the butterfly itself.

"It turned out well. The Common Jezebel..." The boy said to himself in a calm, somewhat young teen aged male voice. He sounded like he was beginning to hit puberty. Just not yet. He then proceeded to draw the flowers and looked at it again, but the butterfly immediately fluttered it's majestic wings and flew into the sky. The boy became sad at the sight.

"It flew away" The boy murmured to himself again. He looked at the clock on his night stand again, only this time it read 6:51 AM. He decided to continue drawing the flowers in the vase without the butterfly. He was already finished with it anyway, so he should have no problem drawing the flowers. The lavenders were quite small, but they should seem easy to draw. There were many of them too. He proceeded to sketch the sets of flowers that were inside of the blue vase that had little drawings of pink flowers on it. About a few more minutes later, he succeeded in drawing the flowers and coloring them in. He smiled at his work and looked at the paper. He then turned around to look at the closet that was right next to the bathroom. He decided to change out of his clothes.

He removed his pajamas and decided to put on the clothes he picked out. He was now wearing a long-sleeved, dark green shirt with some buttons on the chest part and long, navy blue jean pants. He also put on a brown vest over his dark green shirt. This is unusual because it's now summer time here in Kisara and dark-colored, long-sleeved clothes would make someone very hot and sweaty during the summer. But it seems this boy wasn't feeling the summer heat at all. Not only that, he put on a dark blue, battered snow hat with strings on the sides on his head. This kind of hat is usually worn during the winter, not in the summer. Not only that, both of his forearms had bandages wrapped around them. They went from his wrists to slightly below his elbows.

"It seems Virus-san is sleeping in today. But just in case, I'll keep my hat on" The boy whispered to himself as he put on long, brown combat boots on his feet. He then grabbed a brown wallet that was in one of the drawers of the desk that had the computer on it. He turned and noticed the bookshelf next to the TV along with the game consoles in front of the TV such as an XBox 360, PS2 and a Wii. He then proceeded to walk out the door. He turned around and swiped a card into the silver box that was in front of the door. He decided to walk out of the room and into the hallway. He was on the second floor, so he had to walk down some stairs.

He then arrived at a small, restaurant-like place on the first floor. It was completely empty and there was only one lady working in the kitchen in the back. Even so, the sign said it was open, so he decided to go in anyway. He carried his new drawing with him and he sat at one of the tables. The lady in the back saw him sit down and smiled.

"Oh! If it isn't Honcha-san. You sure are here early today as usual" The lady said with a touch of glee. The boy, now known as Honcha by name, turned toward the lady and flashed a casual smile.

"Good morning, ma'am" Honcha replied. The lady looked to be in her late 20's. She had short, brunette hair tied in a small, flouncy ponytail. She is wearing a short sleeved, light yellow shirt and a long, white skirt that reached her knees. She was also wearing a cream-colored apron along with black shoes. She was also wearing a small brooche on her chest in the form of a bright red flower with green leaves coming out from the back.

"You sure are an early bird as usual" The woman said.

"Yes, I am. That's certainly a beautiful brooch you have on you today" Honcha complimented the woman politely and softly. The woman smiled.

"Oh, thanks so much. My mother got it for me last week. It came in the mail. Anyway, would you like some breakfast? What would you like?" The woman replied, then asked about what he wanted.

"I would like some pancakes with maple syrup and raspberries, some scrambled eggs, bacon strips and a small glass of orange juice, if you'd be so kind" Honcha explained.

"I'm the only waitress here, so I'll have your order up in a jiffy" The woman told him.

"Thank you very much, ma'am" Honcha told her quietly. The woman blushed a bit.

"Please, you can call me Hirai" The woman, Hirai, said to him and walked back to the kitchen to prepare his breakfast. Honcha's table was right next to the kitchen, so he was a good distance from her.

"Are you working a double shift?" Honcha asked. Hirai sighed.

"Unfortunately, yes. I'm the only one up this early so my boss asked me to take the shift now" Hirai explained.

"I wish I could help you out" Honcha said.

"I would hire you since you're looking for a job, but we're full of employees right now and my boss is the one who hires people" Hirai said as she was preparing Honcha's scrambled eggs and pancakes. Honcha then turned back to the table in front of him. In the center of the round table was a small candle which wasn't lit and a little vase which had fake replicas of some blue flowers in it. He stared listlessly at the fake blue flowers with his crimson red eyes with a dazed look. He began to become lost in the confines of his mind.

(flashback)

It was springtime. The flowers were blooming, the birds were singing, the sun was shining, and two people were walking down an abandoned railroad track. A younger Honcha was walking on the rails while another man was walking next to him. Honcha looked to be about 12-13 years old. He was wearing a short-sleeved, dark blue T-shirt, long dark brown jeans, and black sneakers. He was walking on the rail with his arms stretched out on both sides like he was walking on a balance beam.

The man next to him looked to be in his late 20's. He had straight, black hair along with black eyes that were hidden by the square-shaped glasses, concealing his eyes. He was wearing a dark grey suit with a white shirt tucked under it along with a black lace bow tie on the collar part. He was also wearing brown shoes. Honcha leaped off of the rail and walked next to the man. What was weird was that...Honcha has a tail on his backside. It was mostly purple fur with the end just being a silver, moon-shaped hook. Honcha sighed a bit, then began to speak.

"Saginomiya-san. Is it true that your new child is a catalyst?" Honcha asked in a somewhat low-pitched voice of a young boy. The man next to him continued to walk.

"Honcha, you know you're allowed to call me Osamu. I don't mind" The man, Saginomiya Osamu, told him with a stern tone of voice. Honcha sighed again.

"Osamu-san...is it true that your new child turned out to be a catalyst? Like me?" Honcha asked softly. There was a long pause, then Osamu spoke.

"Yes. It has been confirmed as true" Osamu replied in a rich, manly voice. Honcha was quiet for a little bit.

"Are you...angry?" Honcha asked softly.

"No, I am not" Osamu replied. There seemed to be a time lag between their conversations. Honcha then stopped walking and stood next to the railroad track. Osamu noticed this and turned around. He saw that Honcha's eyes were trembling a bit. Honcha looked sad. Osamu walked up to the boy and stared at him.

"What's bothering you?" Osamu asked.

"It's...my fault" Honcha murmured. His voice became very sad. So did his trembling red eyes. "It's my fault...that your daughter is a catalyst like me. I...I hit you in the forehead with my frenzy plant and gave you the gene for making catalysts. That's why you have that scar on your forehead. I...I didn't mean to, but I gave you the gene for producing catalyst children! I-I'm sorry!" Honcha explained as his eyes began to become blurred by tears that began to swell up in his red eyes. Osamu's face softened up a little bit. He removed his glasses, placed them in his breast pocket, but his hands on both of Honcha's shoulders, and kneeled down to his level.

"Honcha. Look at me. I understand that you never meant to give me the virus, and I believe you. You simply mistook me for the security guard who branded your left forearm a few months ago. But please understand, I am not angry because of that. I am angry because...Ueno...my daughter..." Osamu explained, but began to stutter a bit when he mentioned his daughter and someone named Ueno. Honcha dried himself off and became confused and curious.

"What's going to happen to your daughter? Are you allowed to raise her?" Honcha asked. There was a long pause until Osamu spoke again.

"No. Unfortunately...I am unable to raise her. I begged Ueno to keep her alive, because that was my wife's dying wish, but I had to accept that condition, even though I greatly oppose it" Osamu explained.

"What condition? What did you have to accept?" Honcha asked again. Osamu's face grimaced slightly.

"It pains me to say it but...from now own, even as she grows and gets older, she has to be subjected to...solitary confinement" Osamu explained. Honcha became shocked.

"What!? Why!? They're gonna keep her locked up in a dark place forever!? But why!?" Honcha cried out, surprised as he was. Osamu was deeply saddened by what he himself just said, but he refused to cry. Osamu stood up and let go of Honcha's shoulders.

"Professor Ueno has performed tests on her and confirmed that she is in possession of the Omega 101 gene...and 25 frenzy plants" Osamu replied. Honcha was surprised even further.

"Wow! She has more frenzy plants than me!...and she's still a little baby! But...what's the Omega 101 gene?" Honcha exclaimed.

"Omega 101 is a powerful DNA segment that gives any catalyst who is in possession of it great power. More power than any normal catalyst can usually bear. Their powers vary, though there are only 2 catalysts in possession of the gene as of now. Professor Ueno has recently coined the gene. But those 2 catalysts...their powers are stored and sealed within the eyes that are lodged in their abdomen. The catalyst we have in captivity here has a "third eye" in his stomach, which the iris is gold and the cornea is black instead of white. That is where all of their powers and abilities are located" Osamu explained.

"What about the other one? You said there was another catalyst who has an eye in it's stomach. Where's that one?" Honcha asked.

"He is currently being studied in another facility as of now" Osamu replied. Honcha became more curious.

"So you're saying...your daughter has a giant black eye in her stomach too?" Honcha asked.

"No. But her eyes are bright gold, as are all O-Catalysts. Not only that, she has a strange, seed-like growth on her back. They say that if she wants to unleash her frenzy plants, the growth will blossom like a flower and the frenzy plants will immediately leap out of it and attack" Osamu told him.

"Do all O-Catalysts have gold eyes?" Honcha asked.

"Yes, they do" Osamu said and decided to walk again. Honcha, noticing this, decided to follow. Honcha's face continued to look sad.

"I guess...I made your daughter into a monster..." Honcha whispered when Osamu suddenly stopped in his tracks. Honcha ended up running into him as a result.

"Honcha, I just told you, it was merely an accident. You never meant for it to happen. Don't blame yourself" Osamu told Honcha very sternly. Honcha looked up at him but still looked a bit stressed.

"There's a small restaurant near here. I'll bet you're quite hungry" Osamu said as he decided to walk again. Honcha faithfully followed him into the horizon.

(end flashback)

"Here is your breakfast, Honcha-san" Hirai said as she placed a large tray of food in front of Honcha. It was complete with 3 layers of pancakes covered in maple syrup with raspberries on the side, yellow steaming scrambled eggs, two turkey bacon strips, and a small glass of orange juice. Honcha picked up a white plastic fork and knife as he slowly began to eat.

"Thanks very much, Hirai-san" Honcha told the lady. Honcha first began to take a bite of his pancakes. He cut them up into pieces in order to make them easier to eat. He manages to finish all three layers of pancakes. He eats the raspberries as well. He proceeds to eat the scrambled eggs that were prepared for him. They were quite warm, but easy to eat. He then consumed the bacon strips. After all that, he washed his throat down by drinking all the orange juice. He was finally finished. And it only took him 15 minutes to eat the whole thing, which was to be expected. Hirai returned to him.

"Here's your check" Hirai told him as she handed Honcha the check. The breakfast he ate costs about $15. Honcha pulled out his wallet, pulled out a $10 bill along with a $5 bill and gently placed it on the table. He dutifully paid the bill.

"Here is your earning for today. Oh! What do you think of my drawing I did?" Honcha said as he dutifully paid the bill, but remembered that he brought his drawing with him, so he decided to show it to Hirai. Hirai was amazed.

"Wow! That's beautiful! How very delicate and detailed! Did you do this today?" Hirai asked, surprised yet full of excitement.

"Yes, this morning to be precise. A Common Jezebel was on my lavendars earlier, so I thought it'd be worth sketching" Honcha explained.

"Aren't Common Jezebels usually seen in India or Sri Lanka? I didn't know they could be found in Japan" Hirai said.

"They were introduced in Japan in 2026. I guess it might be because their habitats in India and Sri Lanka are dying" Honcha told her.

"You're probably right. India's in a rebellion with Singapore and Sri Lanka is having an economic crisis. I hope they'll be alright" Hirai said. Honcha decided to prepare himself to leave the little restaurant.

"I should probably get going. Take care of yourself, Hirai-san" Honcha said as he cleaned himself up and decided to leave. He stood up and peacefully left the restaurant while another person, an adult male, came in instead.

Honcha decided to leave the hotel and to go out for a little bit. He didn't feel like being cooped up in the hotel all day. He had a lot of his art materials with him, so he probably wanted to find things to sketch. He walked away from the hotel and began being surrounded by many houses and stores. The sky was slowly beginning to turn blue. The mixture of blue and orange began to fade. The sun was shining brightly on Kisara now. He then began to approach Central Park, Kisara's famous park.

Although there were no people in it right now, it certainly was big. There was a jungle gym, some benches, a vending machine full of drinks and snacks, a fountain in the shape of someone on a horse, and other things. There was a lot of grass and there were a lot of flowers all around. One set of flowers managed to catch Honcha's attention. A single white daisy stood among some delicate yellow and red flowers. Honcha kneeled down at the flowers and smiled gently. He then sat down, went through his bag, pulled out his paper, tablet, and colored pencils, and he began sketching the flowers. He smiled brightly as he continuously sketched the little flowers that were in front of him. About a few minutes later, he finished drawing the flowers and proceeded to color them in. He finally finished coloring in the flowers. He was proud of the new drawing he did. He finally decided to pack up and continue walking around.

A few minutes later, as he left Central Park and walked a few blocks, he had unknowingly came across Sakurakage Public Academy, a local elevator school. He didn't mind and continued to walk. He walked continuously. His mind was in another place right now.

'I haven't seen Kagami or Tajin in a while. Maybe I'll go see them some time. I wonder...how are they doing? Are they doing well? I hope Ueno hasn't sent anyone after them. Sometimes I wonder why some humans choose to be angry at those who are different. Why are some people hateful toward those who are different? It's who they are. They can't help it. They misunderstand those who are different. Tajin has Omega 101 in him yet he is a kind, gentle and friendly catalyst. Kagami is autistic yet she is equally gentle and compassionate. Why does the world have to be so judgmental?' thought Honcha as he was walking. He didn't know that he had walked a full six blocks and arrived at another hotel. Only this one was called Cherry Tree Hotel. This is called that because there's a cherry blossom tree right near it, even though it's not in bloom in this time of year. It was slightly smaller than the Kisara Hotel by one floor. Honcha became curious and decided to walk around.

He decided to go around the back. The alley wasn't dirty, but there was a door, a small staircase and a trash can in the back of the hotel. A fence was about a few feet away from it as well, which belong to the house next door. As Honcha was about to pass by...the door opened.

A girl appeared right in front of him.

"Oh?"

This girl looked to be about 14-15 years of age. She had long, majestic, raven black hair that went down to her lower back. One part of it was tied into a loop with a red string while the other side was left down. She also has bright, violet purple eyes like the lavendar flowers on Honcha's hotel window. She is also wearing a sleeveless red top, blue jean pants, and brown sandals. She made full eye contact with Honcha. They were both confused. The girl was the first to speak.

"Ummm...you...shouldn't be here. The security will be angry and arrest you" The girl told him in a somewhat soft, calm yet high-pitched voice of a young female teenager. Honcha blushed a little bit.

"Oh! I-I-I'm sorry, miss! I-I was just trying to pass through and..." Honcha tried to reply, but he couldn't find the right words. The girl then noticed his art supplies in his bag.

"Oh! Are you a traveling artist?" The girl asked. Honcha became confused, then saw that his bag was open. He had forgotten to close it before he left his own hotel. The girl then took a good look at Honcha. She became curious.

"You look...familiar. Do I know you?" The girl asked innocently. Honcha was a bit confused himself.

"I...I don't know..." Honcha stuttered more now. Then, the two teenagers talked a bit more and decided to sit on the little stairs below the door in which the girl came from. The two were having a casual conversation.

"Do you live around here?" Honcha asked.

"Nope! I'm from Kanagawa. I'm actually on my way to Chiba, but my dad's car broke down so we're staying here until it gets fixed" The girl replied.

"Why are you going to Chiba?" Honcha asked.

"School. I go to a boarding school there. My summer break's almost over and I gotta get back to my cottage before it ends. But my dad's car isn't broken that badly, so it should be fixed soon" The girl explained.

"I see" Honcha said. His casual face began to fade and he began looking a bit sad.

"Do you...ever feel lonely when you're in Chiba?" Honcha asked. There was a short pause, then the girl spoke again.

"Yeah, sometimes. I don't have many friends up in Makinami Academy like back when I was younger. I do miss my parents, my sisters, my friends from Hisamitsu School and all that stuff. But I still keep in touch with them, even though I often forget sometimes" The girl replied. Honcha smiled again. He blushed a bit.

"I see" Honcha said when the girl began looking at his clothes.

"Ummm...won't you get all hot and sweaty in those? I mean, it's summer and it's gonna be hot today and...y'know" The girl asked.

"Oh. See, I have a condition that prevents me from getting a heat stroke no matter what I wear. So even if I wore REALLY heavy winter clothes during the summer, I have full immunity to the heat, so I'll be alright. The only time I get hot and sweaty is if I run a marathon" Honcha said. The girl laughed happily.

"Hahaha! I see! I wish I was like that! It's hot as heck here during the summer!" The girl retorted with a smile. She then noticed Honcha's art supplies in his bag.

"Can I see your drawings?" The girl asked with curiosity. Honcha decided to pull out the two drawings he has with him and show them to the girl. The girl was surprised.

"Wooow! These are really cool! I wish I could draw this good! My drawings are (Censored C word) compared to yours!" The girl exclaimed. Honcha became a little sad when she mentioned that her own drawings were trash.

"I don't believe that's the case. I'm sure you have a talent inside of you that's just waiting to be discovered. You just haven't found it yet. Soon, you'll find something you can do and later you can put all your heart and effort into achieving it" Honcha told the girl. The girl blushed a bit, then smiled.

"Thanks. Actually, I'm an amateur writer and voice actor. I write stories about anime and game characters I like and I voice a character in my friend Asao's internet flash series!" The girl told him.

"That's good to hear" Honcha replied.

"I'm good at video games too! I play Brawl, all the Zelda games, all the Kingdom Hearts games, Pokemon games, Phoenix Wright games, and all that other...blabbity blah blah!" The girl explained. Honcha continued to smile at the girl's ramblings.

"I happen to have games like those too. In fact, I think I remember my Brawl friend code. Hold on just a minute" Honcha said as he ripped a paper from one of his blank pieces of paper and began writing on it. He then gave it to the girl. The girl also picked out a paper, wrote on it, and gave it to Honcha.

"I hope we can play against each other sometime!" The girl said to Honcha, then another voice echoed in the air. It came from behind the door she came out from.

"Maiko! We're leaving soon! Hurry up!" Someone yelled out from behind the door and inside the hotel.

"Coming mother!" The girl replied and stood up. But Honcha stood up and grabbed her arm. He looked almost distressed.

"She said your name is...Maiko?" Honcha asked.

"Yeah, my name's Maiko. Thanks for the friend code! I hope we can play against each other soon! I have to go. It seems dad's car is fixed, so off we go to Chiba! Goodbye, sir!" The girl, finally known by name as Maiko, exclaimed happily and decided to go back inside the inn.

But Honcha's head began to throb. He immediately clenched his head as he ran quickly away from the hotel and into another empty area. His eyes were big and his teeth were clenched together. He looked like he was going to explode. He is in a great deal of pain. He fell on his knees in a small grassy area.

"Wh-wh-why is my head...throbbing!? Gah! St-stop! Make it stop!" Honcha yelled at himself. The pain in his head wasn't going away. In fact, images began flashing through his mind. The pieces of the puzzle were coming together.

"M-Ma-Maiko...I...I know that name..." Honcha said to himself. Although the pain was finally starting to calm down and leave his head, he looked as if he was going to lose consciousness.

'I know that name...Maiko...' thought Honcha as he finally caved and lost his own consciousness. He fell asleep on the small, grassy area that was near the hotel. More images began to flash through his mind.

(flashback)

"Alright everyone! I'll be giving your tests back today!" A female teacher said to her class. In the middle of the class was a much younger Honcha, who now looked to be about 9-10 years of age. He was just simply reading a little book he found in the shelf in the back. About a few minutes later, the teacher approached Honcha.

"Honcha-kun, can I speak to you in private for a minute?" The teacher whispered. Honcha became a little confused.

"Am I in trouble?" Honcha asked back innocently.

"No no. Just come with me" The teacher told him. He decided to go with the teacher to the back of the room. The teacher did say that he wasn't in trouble or anything, but Honcha continued to become suspicious. The teacher then pulled out a test and gave it to Honcha. It was marked with a blue 100 on it. Honcha was surprised.

"You have the highest grade in the whole class! The rest of the kids only got an 80 or lower! So, you'll be excused from my upcoming pop quiz this week" The teacher told the boy with a smile. But Honcha still looked nervous and confused. The teacher noticed this.

"What's wrong? You should be happy!" The teacher asked.

"But your pop quiz...didn't you say it was going to go against 30% of the class's grade and even more if they fail it?" Honcha asked shyly.

"That's only for those who have the lowest grade in the class. For those who do good in class, it doesn't really do anything to their grade" The teacher said.

"But still! I...I've never missed a test or quiz or anything important! Everyone else is going to do it, so why would you only exclude me from it when I'm no different from everyone else?" Honcha proclaimed. He was reluctant to be excused from the pop quiz even though he got the highest test grade in the class...or highest grades in the class in general. The teacher was quite surprised. But she sighed a bit.

"You certainly are devoted. The reason I say that is...you seemed to look a little sick lately. Your face is slightly red and you've been sneezing a lot lately. I don't want you to push yourself" The teacher told him.

"I-I'm fine really. It is true I've been sneezing more than usual. I guess it might be allergies or something...hehe" Honcha said when the teacher noticed a red spot on his arm.

"Did someone hurt you? Or is this a rash?" The teacher asked when she pulled out Honcha's arm.

"Huh? Oh...to be honest, I don't know. I kinda just now noticed it" Honcha said. The teacher pulled out a pass that was hanging on the door knob and put it in Honcha's hand.

"You should go to the nurse" The teacher told him and decided to leave. Honcha just stood there and looked at the splotch on his arm. He began to look very grim.

'This isn't a rash. Father tried to burn me with a steam iron...but it's batteries dried up. I don't think the nurse will be able to take care of something like this. But the teacher might get mad if I don't go, so...I guess I'll go anyway' thought Honcha as he looked at the red splotch on his arm. He decided to leave the classroom and go to the nurse's office.

He slowly walked down the little hallway and looked at some doors that were around him. He knew that the nurse's office was right next to the small auditorium that was up ahead. So were the bathrooms. But as he was about to pass by the girl's bathrooms...

"Yaaah! St-stop please!!"

"Shut up you filthy rat!!"

A group of girls were shoving another girl into the girl's bathroom. Honcha noticed this and decided to see what was going on. He opened the door very slightly and saw three girls harassing another girl. The girl they were picking on looked to be about 8-9 years old, possibly a year younger than Honcha. She had shoulder-length, raven black hair and violet purple eyes. She was wearing a simple, plain yellow dress along with black shoes and green socks. The girl was scared. Honcha became curious and fearful. One girl with a ponytail forcefully yanked on the girl's black hair.

"L-Let me goooo!" The girl with black hair cried out fearfully.

"You're going to pay for ratting me out like that! Trying to make people think I'm the bad girl!" The girl with the messy ponytail yelled at her angrily.

"That's right! Hey Toshiko-sama! Let's put her head in the toilet!" Another girl said.

"Yeah! Like, totally! Do that!" A short-haired girl said as she forcefully hit the black-haired girl in the face. The ponytailed girl, now known as Toshiko, flashed a devious and evil-looking smile.

"Yeah! That'll teach her a lesson!" Toshiko exclaimed as she opened one of the bathroom doors and proceeded to pull the black-haired girl into the stall by her hair (yowch!). Honcha was scared. He didn't want to see the younger girl get hurt.

Then, a fiery, courageous, and determined look appeared in his crimson red eyes. He finally caved and yelled...

"HEY! Leave her alone!!"

He quickly ran into the bathroom, right up to the girls, and smacked Toshiko's hand very hard. The smack was powerful enough that Toshiko unwittingly let go of the black haired girl. Honcha was angry.

"What do you think you doing!? Picking on an innocent girl like that! You should be ashamed! What did she ever do to you that was bad anyway!?" Honcha yelled at the three girls while standing in front of the black-haired girl who was a little scared but surprised. Toshiko was angry as well.

"Yeeek! A boy's in the girl's bathroom! We're going to tell the teacher!" Toshiko retaliated with threats, but Honcha grabbed her hand and twisted her arm a bit.

"Owwww!!" Toshiko yelled in pain.

"Toshiko-sama!!" Her two girl friends yelled out in fear. Honcha let her go and pushed her away.

"Fine! Go tell your teacher! I don't care! Just stop picking on others!" Honcha yelled. Toshiko stood up a bit.

"Why would you want to stand up to a stupid little freak like her? She's not like us! She's ugly, she's weird, she's not even normal! She's just a little cockroach!" Toshiko yelled when suddenly...

SLAP!

Honcha forcefully hit her again. This time in the face. The blow was powerful enough to make Toshiko fall to the ground. Her two friends came to her aid. The girls finally gave in and decide to leave the room. Honcha then turned to the girl behind him, who was whimpering and crying silently. Honcha's face softened up. He decided to kneel down to her level and try to comfort her.

"Ummm...are you okay?" Honcha whispered gently so he wouldn't scare her. The girl stopped crying a bit and looked at him.

"Y-You're in the girl's bathroom. The teachers will be mad at you..." The girl told him.

"I know, but I'm not in here to be a pervert. Those girls were bullying you. I couldn't just stand there and let them hurt you. Who were they anyway?" Honcha told her. There was a short pause, then the girl spoke again.

"Nishio Toshiko is her name. I caught her...cheating during class one day and I told the teacher. Cheating in class is bad. And I saw her using a cell phone and texting during class. When she wasn't there, I took her cell phone and told the teacher about it. But she found out and got angry" The girl explained quietly.

"Well it's her fault for breaking the rules! She should be ashamed of herself instead of trying to take her anger out on you!" Honcha told her reassuringly. The girl decided to dry herself off and smile a bit.

"I-I'm...Maiko. Who are you?" The girl, Maiko, asked innocently and shyly.

"My name's Honcha" Honcha introduced himself to Maiko.

"That's a strange name. I've never heard it before" Maiko said bluntly. Of course, Honcha wasn't offended. Maiko seemed like the girl who always wanted to get to the point.

"It's okay. I'm used to it' My mother's part Vietnamese so she kinda gave me a slightly Vietnamese or Chinese name" Honcha explained. Maiko giggled happily.

"I see. Oh! I should get going. I don't wanna be late for class or the teacher might scold me" Maiko explained. Honcha decided to let her go.

"Alright then. I'll see you later" Honcha said.

"Bye-bye, Honcha-kun!" Maiko exclaimed happily as she decided to leave the bathroom though she left Honcha behind.

(end flashback)

Honcha finally woke up from his state of unconsciousness. He saw that the sky was entirely blue, without a single cloud as far as the eye could see. He stood up and looked around. He was still a few feet near the little hotel. He saw that his bag had everything in it. His art supplies and drawings are safe and in tact.

He stood up, gathered his things, and decided to leave. He didn't want to return to his hotel room as he didn't want to spend the entire day there, so he decided to go to Central Park for a bit. About 15 minutes later, he arrived at Central Park, which seemed quite empty. He looked at his watch and it read 9:12 AM. He sat on a white bench which was a few feet from the fountain that was spewing water. He stared straight up at the plainly blue sky. His mind began wandering.

'Was that a...memory? That black-haired girl...no. No, it can't be. She left long ago and I never saw her again after that. She couldn't have come back here to Kisara. But...she had the same black hair, the same violet eyes...the same--' thought Honcha as he began thinking about the memory he saw that made him unconscious. But then, suddenly out of nowhere...

"BOO!!"

Someone cried out and said 'boo'!

"Gyaaaaaaaaaaaah!!"

It literally scared Honcha to death. It scared him so much that he literally leaped off of the bench and strangely, so much that his eyes became big as his eyes glew a bright red color. It also made his purple tail come out, with it's silver hook and all. He found the person who scared him.

"Nyahahaha!! I scared you good!!"

A young girl was right in front of him. She looked to be about 12-13 years old. She had very short, maroon or dark red hair along with bright purple eyes. She looked like she was in an elf costume. She had a very big, floppy, green hat with a golden bell on top of it along with a bright green shirt with dark green sleeves under it along with dark green leggings and bright green boots to match. The shirt was quite long, almost as if it was the length of a dress. It went slightly above her knees. There was also a brown belt secured around her waist. As she talked, Honcha would see a tooth standing out. Honcha became REALLY mad. His teeth gritted together. But what was strange was that his eyes were bigger and he had small fangs. He noticed she also had bright green gloves as well, matching her dress, hat, and boots.

"Grrrrrrr! You little brat! You shouldn't have done that!!" Honcha yelled angrily. His voice became deeper as if he became a completely different person. The elf-like girl laughed.

"Nyahahaha! I wanted to play a little joke on someone! I was bored--" The girl replied when suddenly...

WHAP!

"Nyaaah!"

A long, dark green plant vine slapped the girl in the face, knocking her to the ground.

"You want a frenzy plant brawl or somethin'!?" Honcha cried out angrily. The girl, despite the red scar she got on her face, was quite surprised and didn't care about the pain.

"Whoa! You're a catalyst too!? Just like me! You have a tail and everything!" The girl exclaimed. Then, Honcha seemed to send out another two of those 'frenzy plants' that she was talking about and it grabbed her arm and her leg. He then made them lift her up into the air and start swinging her around.

"Waaaaaah! Can't ya take a joke!?" The girl cried out.

"You wanna brawl!? I'll show you a brawl you (censored D word) brat!!" Honcha yelled out when suddenly a frenzy plant came and smacked him down to the ground. There were four of them, but they were brown, thinner, and had smaller green leaves on them.

"If a frenzy plant brawl's what'cha want, then a frenzy brawl'cha gonna get!" The girl cried out as she was standing perfectly straight on top of the statue on the fountain. She escaped his clutches.

"I'll let you know that I have exactly 24 of them! Think you can go up against 24 frenzy plants!?" Honcha yelled out with an evil smirk when 8 of those frenzy plants he talked about popped from the ground and charged at the elf-like girl. But the girl instantly dodged the attack by leaping into the air and off of the fountain. Honcha made sure he didn't destroy the fountain.

"Haha! I can handle anything you throw at me! Bring it!" The girl proclaimed with a mischevious smile.

A fight between catalysts had begun.

The elf-like girl was the first to unleash an attack. Four thin, brown, leaf-infested frenzy plants shot up from the ground and charged at Honcha like Indian spears being thrown to attack their prey. Honcha immediately dodged the attack like he had seen it coming. Of course, he didn't have any ability to see the future or anything. Honcha leaped onto a tree and shot four of his own frenzy plants at the elf-like girl. His were perfectly green and had tips that were shaped like little spears used to kill fish when someone didn't have a fishing rod. But the girl managed to dodge his as well. Honcha was angry, but he turned that anger to motivation to continue attacking the girl. The girl leaped around the park like she was a long-legged rabbit or a kangaroo. Honcha unleashed one frenzy plant at her at full speed and power, but the girl successfully managed to grab the fountain and attempt a full-blown back flip while standing on her hands. As usual, the attack missed her.

Honcha jumped off of the tree branch and went after her. He pulled out four frenzy plants, each of them were squirming around like dying caterpillars even though they were standing up. Wherever Honcha went, the four vines followed. The elf-like girl was hopping from tree branch to tree branch like she was Tarzan. Honcha unleashed his frenzy plants at her, but she successfully dodges them all. He unleashes more, she dodges again without even attacked. Honcha unleashes one more frenzy plant at her, hoping to at least land a successful hit on her. He is finally successful in not hitting her, but grabbing her around her leg. The elf-like girl is trapped as Honcha's vine was completely wrapped around her right leg. Honcha's vine looked like it was squeezing her leg to the point of stopping blood flow, which it wasn't. The girl was angry and unleashed four frenzy plants back at him. Honcha manages to deflect them with four of his own.

Honcha let out a devious and evil smirk, hoping to teach her a lesson. He finally pulled his frenzy plant back toward him, carrying the girl with him. Honcha, with his frenzy plants, pinned her to the ground. The girl tried to get up, only managing to do so even though Honcha's vine was still wrapped around her leg. Soon, three more vines wrapped around her other leg and both of her arms. She was trapped. Honcha was quite happy, even though he shouldn't be doing this.

"How do you like that!? Don't underestimate me, you little elf!" Honcha said as he began walking toward and approaching the elf-like girl. Her bangs were hiding her eyes, concealing them with a shadow. What he didn't know was that...the girl flashed another mischevious smile. Then, out of nowhere...

She suddenly disappeared! Like she teleported or something! Honcha was shocked.

"What!? Where'd she go!?" Honcha yelled out angrily. His frenzy plants began flying into a...well, frenzy. He nervously looked around to see where the girl went, but then...

"Hahaha! I knew it would work!"

The girl was suddenly right in front of him.

A brown frenzy plant shot up from the ground and slapped Honcha in the face. The slap was so powerful it made Honcha fall to the ground.

"Wh-What was that?!? Did you teleport or something!?" Honcha yelled, seething in anger.

"Nah. I used camoflage. I can make myself look like I disappear in thin air depending on where I'm at! I can also change my clothes with it too! Wanna see?" The elf-like girl explained. Camoflage is usually an ability in which animals, mostly chameleons, change color to make themselves invisible in their environment. It makes them blend in with their environment in order to avoid being captured, eaten, or spotted in sight. Honcha was quite mad.

"Grrrr! I'll get youuuuu!!" Honcha yelled out when he unleashed yet another frenzy plant at the girl. Strangely, the girl successfully caught it with her own left hand.

"You think you're so tough! You got good speed, I can tell ya that, but I got good speed too! Not only that, I love to confuse my enemies, so gimmie everything you got, tough guy!" The elf-like girl retorted with a childish smile.

The fight begun again.

Although they were still in Central Park, they moved around a lot. Honcha quickly leaped into the air as the elf-like girl threw three of her brown frenzy plants at him. He successfully managed to dodge them all. The elf-like girl unleashed three more at him, only to have them deflected by Honcha's frenzy plants. He grabbed a tree branch, did three loops around it, and jumped to another area in Central Park. The elf-like girl had him in her sights and proceeded to run after him. She flashed a devious smile again as she jumped behind him and unleashed three frenzy plants again. Honcha managed to dodge two of them, but one of them managed to land a successful hit on his back. He staggered a bit, then tried to keep himself standing. He jumped off of the tree and went back to the ground.

The elf-like girl continued to chase him as if she was a ferocious cat just wanting to catch a little mouse and eat it for dinner. It certainly was a cat-and-mouse affair. The elf-like girl finally caught up to him and landed a strong kick to his backside. Although Honcha did feel pain from the kick, he didn't really care. He then grabbed the elf-like girl's arm and pulled it toward himself. But the girl kicked him in the shin successfully and was released from his clutches. Honcha tried to unleash some frenzy plants in order to keep her from escaping, but failed as the elf-like girl managed to push his frenzy plants away with her own. Honcha was quite angry and decided to chase after her a bit more.

Honcha's anger gave him motivation to continue chasing the girl and sneaking up on her. As the elf-like girl stood on a bench, Honcha leaped after her and tried to throw a punch at her, only to have the elf-like girl grab his arm and throw him to the ground. He fell on his back and on the grass. But she didn't know that Honcha's purple tail was wrapped around her leg. In retaliation, Honcha leaped off of the ground, taking the elf-like girl with him and making her fall to the ground. The girl dressed in green repeatedly kicked Honcha's leg in order to make him release her from his clutches, but Honcha was not going to budge one bit. The elf-like girl then krept up to his tail, opened her mouth really wide and...

...Bit onto it.

"YEEEEOOOOOWCH!!!"

Honcha yelped in pain as the elf-like girl's teeth sunk into his furry, purple tail. He was REALLY mad now.

"YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT!!" Honcha screamed in anger as he knocked the girl up into the air, spun around a bit, and successfully landed a strong kick to her abdomen. She was sent flying. She then fell onto a tree that was slightly further away from where Honcha was. Honcha finally calmed down and looked at the fountain.

"Ahh, screw this! I'm tired of fighting that little green elf! I'm going home!" Honcha mused to himself and finally decided to leave Central Park. He grew tired of fighting with the elf-like girl and decided it was time to give in for a while. He wanted to go back to the hotel. He walked on the sidewalk as he was leaving Central Park. He saw a few buildings and stores nearby, but there weren't many people walking the streets just yet. But Honcha began to hear yelling on the other side of the street. He saw a man and a woman across the street arguing. The woman was holding a baby with a cleft palate on it's lip. Honcha accidentally began overhearing their argument.

"Why don't you get it!? This child's deformed and retarded! He'll never lead a normal life!" The man yelled angrily.

"Don't say that! He's NOT retarded!! He's our child and as parents, we have to raise our children with love, regardless of how they turn out to be!" The woman admitted.

"I'm not gonna raise that thing! Look at it! It has no upper lip, it's mouth looks like a fish, it's head is tiny, and it's ears are all weird-looking! You call this a child!?" The man screamed.

"The doctor said he has Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome! Why are you so critical!?" The woman asked with confusion.

"That's why! I'm not gonna raise a retard! Put it in an institution! I ain't gonna raise something like this! I want a normal child, not a messed up retard!!" The man proclaimed with anger in his voice. The woman was flabbergasted and appalled, but she continued to cling to the deformed baby wrapped in her arms.

"How could you be so cruel and cold-hearted!? You wanted to have children, right!? Why won't you accept our child as he is!? You know there have been recent successful people with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome thanks to all the medical technology and genetic counseling, right!? Our son can be high-functioning and successful too! It's 2035 for Pete's sake! Please, give him a chance at life!" The woman pleaded with her husband, but he certainly wasn't budging.

"I don't give a (Censored D word) about what they think! If a thing like this is in our family, then our reputation's gonna suffer! People are gonna think we're nuts or something! They're gonna think we don't deserve to be a part of society!! And you know my mother expects the best from everyone around her, including you and the children! And I'm not gonna have my family's noble status be destroyed by this thing you call a child!!" The man retorted loudly and with anger.

"I can't believe you!! Let them say what they want! I honestly don't care! I can't believe I married a man who doesn't even care about his own child!!" The woman rebuked angrily.

Although it was impolite to eavesdrop, Honcha couldn't help but overhear their argument regarding their deformed child. Honcha had a rather sad look on his face. But he still tried to keep his cool. He was disgusted at the husband.

'Why are humans so hateful against those who are different? Nobody's the same. Nobody's perfect. People are already abusing us catalysts and thinking we're evil. So why are mentally deficient kids taking the abuse as well? I wonder how autistic girl is doing?' thought Honcha when suddenly...

"Hey blue guy, heads up!!"

The elf-like girl appeared again. This time, she unleashed 6 brown frenzy plants at Honcha. He successfully managed to dodge the attack, but the vines were charging at the couple across the street.

They were heading for the baby!

"WAIT--DON'T--THAT'S--LOOK OUUUUT!!!" Honcha screamed loudly as he tried to warn the couple that the vines were charging toward their baby. He was wide open and it was too late for the couple to react. But just as it seemed that the baby was going to get killed...

The vines...suddenly stopped.

It was like an invisible force grabbed the vines and stopped them from attacking the baby. But the vines stopped on their own automatically. The couple was baffled, Honcha was surprised, and even the elf-like girl was shocked herself.

"Whoa! What in pie's name just happened!?" The elf-like girl exclaimed with confusion and surprised. As Honcha was standing atop of a street light staring down at the strange sight, he began thinking.

'Is that baby compatible to us catalysts too!? I-I thought only kids with autism were able to negate frenzy plants!' thought Honcha. He was quite confused. Then, a sudden new thought struck his head like lightning. He gasped lightly. '...Unless...!!' he thought again.

'There's...more...' he thought with curiosity and confusion. Then, out of nowhere, the elf-like girl charged at him again.

"Ya can't run away from a fight! That's against the rules!" The elf-like girl rebuked with a smile.

"Since when were there rules in this fight!?" Honcha retorted with anger as he and the elf-like girl began their fight yet again.

But they didn't know...there was another witness. A young boy to be exact.

This boy looked to be about 14-15 years old in age. He has messy, dirty brown hair and brown eyes with a slight tint of dark red. He is wearing a short-sleeved, bright green shirt which had long black sleeves coming from it along with having two black stripes going across the chest part horizontally. He is also wearing black pants and black shoes. He also has a red and black bike next to him. He apparently saw the whole fight, but he was beaming with excitement.

"What was that!? Now I gotta see this!" The boy exclaimed happily as he hopped on his bike and began heading into the direction where Honcha and the elf-like girl were headed.

Speaking of Honcha and the elf-like girl, they continued their brawl as they were throwing not only frenzy plants, but punches, kicks, and beatings as well. Neither of them were giving up.

"Meheheh! You're pretty good! But let's see how you--" The elf-like girl nearly said when Honcha finally unleashed a frenzy plant and wrapped it around the girl's forehead. He then removed his own hat and had a scary, intimidating and furious expression on his face. His small, vampire-like fangs were exposed, but he didn't care. Soon, the frenzy plant around the green girl's head began emitting small, purple-colored lightning bolts. The girl was now in an exceptional deal of pain.

"Gyaaaah! L-Let go of me!!" The girl pleaded as she tried to remove the frenzy plant with her hands, but the vine was wrapped too tightly around her head. But Honcha made caution not to squeeze her head to a point where it starts bleeding. After a few seconds, he finally let go. The elf-like girl was free and she smiled. Of course, Honcha was smiling as well.

"Looks like I'm gonna use camoflage now!!" The elf-like girl exclaimed as she opened her arms up to embrace the sky, waiting for her ability to take affect. But strangely...she didn't turn invisible. A few minutes passed and she still wasn't turning invisible. The elf-like girl became angry and threw a tantrum.

"Where's my camoflaaaaaaaage!?" The elf-like girl complained as she began waving her arms and legs around like she was a misbehaving child. Of course, she was wondering why her camoflage ability wasn't taking affect.

"You don't know? Well I'll explain! I wrapped my frenzy plant around your forehead so that a "virus" I can create can disable any ability that you use. Not only that, I disabled your own frenzy plants! But it'll only last for a while though. This is why I wear a hat, and why I'm called Honcha-Virus in this form. Honcha-Vaccine, my original and spineless self, doesn't have such an ability" Honcha, or Honcha-Virus, explained.

It seems Honcha-Virus and Honcha-Vaccine are two different personalities in the same body. Honcha-Vaccine is the original personality, the shy, gentle, and rational one who was present when he drew the butterfly, when he ate at the restaurant, and when he met Maiko. This one, Honcha-Virus, appeared as a result of the elf-like girl's prank earlier. Honcha has a split personality. Now that the elf-like girl's abilities were put on hiatus, she suddenly had no way of fightning now! She was rendered helpless. Then, four of Honcha's frenzy plants appeared from the ground, grabbed both of her limbs and held her up in the air. Then, Honcha's fingernails suddenly became VERY long, like they were claws or something. He was ready to finish her off. As he was about to charge at her...a voice echoed in the air.

"Stoooooooop!!"

A male adult arrived onto the scene.

The man looked to be in either his late 20's or early 30's. He has straight, dark brown hair and light green eyes like a bright green meadow in the spring. He was wearing a white shirt under a tan overcoat along with dark brown pants and black shoes. He was holding a black bag in his left hand. He had a small mustache under his mouth, but it didn't go over his mouth. He arrived on the scene and leaped in front of the elf-like girl while facing Honcha.

"Please! Release Lunetta immediately!" The man pleaded with anger in his eyes. There was a long pause, then Honcha finally gave in and decided to retrieve his frenzy plants and release the girl. It seems this elf-like girl actually had a name, which is Lunetta. Lunetta ran up to the man with curiosity.

"Ulrich-san! What are you doing here?" Lunetta asked. But the man, Ulrich, didn't seem very happy.

"Lunetta! I have told you time and time again! You cannot just simply walk up to people and play petty little pranks on them! Don't you ever think about how they feel? It may seem amusing to you, but it's certainly not amusing to them!" Ulrich reprimanded Lunetta loudly. Apparently he seemed to know that Lunetta had played a childish prank on Honcha, causing him to switch personalities, not too long ago.

"Sorry! But I was bored!" Lunetta replied.

"But you got into a fight because of it!" Ulrich retorted. Then, he faced Honcha and slowly walked up to him. Honcha didn't react a bit, then Ulrich bowed politely in front of him.

"Please forgive me, sir. I am truly sorry for her actions. I have told her time and time again not to play pranks on people in public, but it seems she won't listen no matter what I try. I'm sorry if she caused you trouble" Ulrich admitted as he apologized to Honcha. He then stood up and went back to Lunetta, who watched the whole thing. Honcha was surprised yet he didn't react one bit. Ulrich then held onto Lunetta's hand.

"Come back with me, young lady. Your sisters are waiting for you" Ulrich told her sternly. Lunetta decided to follow this order and walk with him back home. Honcha was left alone, but he was still surprised. But a voice rang in his head now.

"Virus-san! You know you shouldn't take over my body if someone plays a prank on us!" Honcha, aka the dominant personality, Honcha-Vaccine, rebuked from his head. Honcha-Virus mused to himself and let out an animal-like sigh.

"You're the one who panicked and switched us around! Gah, screw it! I'm tired of being out here. You can have the body back" Honcha-Virus told his other self.

"Thank you very much" Honcha-Vaccine said. Honcha-Vaccine finally switched with Honcha-Virus and got his body back. His eyes were smaller now and he was calm now. He looked around and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He decided to walk away from the area. But what they didn't know was that...the boy from earlier saw the whole thing. He was really excited and beaming with happiness.

"Now THAT was awesome! I dunno what the heck he is, but I think it's cool!" The boy mused to himself happily.

Meanwhile, Ulrich and Lunetta arrived at a small villa which was a few blocks away from the area they were in. The walls were brown and the roof was grey and pointed. There was a porch with white railing, a vase with flowers in it, and some windows. Standing on the porch was a young girl. She looked to be 10-11 years old. She has semi-long, curly, light pink hair that went to her shoulders and green eyes like Ulrich's. She was wearing a bluish purple, knee-high, sleeveless dress with small white flowers and a purple ribbon on it along with brown shoes and white socks that went below the knees.

"Welcome home, Ulrich-sama" The girl replied in a soft, polite voice like a young maiden. Ulrich smiled a bit.

"Felicity. Have you seen Noelle and Colette?" Ulrich asked, referring to the pink-haired girl as Felicity.

"Colette is taking a nap and Noelle is out back" Felicity replied softly.

"Is Noelle still carrying around that knife?" Ulrich asked again.

"Yes, unfortunately. I tried to confiscate it, but she claimed that she needed it to "defend herself from the bullies" or something" Felicity replied. Ulrich sighed in disbelief.

"Take Lunetta to the other room. I'll prepare some lunch" Ulrich told her. He handed Lunetta to Felicity and the two young girls walked into the house. Ulrich stayed behind on the porch and began thinking.

'He made me create these girls...but wouldn't let me re-create my daughter...I have to handle this somehow. Anyway, I need to get Noelle away from that knife. Her self-esteem is low enough as it is and she thinks everyone around her think she's worth nothing. I really need to get her some help...' thought Ulrich as he began thinking of another girl, or catalyst, in the house. He didn't know that he was being watched by another girl. One with strawberry blonde hair.

The girl was...holding a knife with a gold handle with a strange carving on it.

Author's Note: Hi everyone! I'm finally finished chapter 43! Yeah, I felt bored so I decided to make a chapter focusing on Honcha. And for those wondering about Ulrich and his catalysts, I'll make a chapter about them in due time, along with one about Jean-Baptiste and his part in the story. But I have other ideas I need to patch up before I get to them, so be patient. And this is the first chapter that doesn't have any footnotes. I better go now. I have things I need to do. Read and review please! NO FLAMES!!! Bye-bee!
