A/N: This was a song that came all in one shot. I've never written a complete song, but when I heard a few notes of the church piano, a few lines of the chorus popped into me head. I know the rhymes seem to differ slightly from verse to verse, but just respect that that's the way it turned out. also know that it's impossible to capture the entirety of the song without actually singing it .While singing it to myself, my sister asked me to dedicate it to her best friend who is moving away, adding to more of the lyrics due to memories and the attempt to capture what she must be going through . The rest came from the result of contemplation as to why the best friendships I have seem to be less close as of late; proving that the best inspiration sometimes comes from being overly emotional.

we’ll share the sky

you always smile.
and you could always find the smile
I never knew I had
until you came.

-:-

brown eyes,
can you stay a while?
you always have to go, but time won’t stop
so it’s all the same.

-:-

late night laughter and midnight talks.
the movies we made, and our daytime walks.
yet the only road that seems to be clear,
is the one leading you away from here.

-:-

chorus:

it might be warm for your September
though it might sometimes snow in spring
you might not always find the words
but somehow have the strength to sing
as you pass through this world of faces
and all the places that you go
I hope you know…
I love you so.

-:-

the bad was lost in the fun of the day
we wouldn’t have it any other way.
our song was the moment that rhymed with what came
the snapshots of life counted more than real fame.

-:-

do you remember how loud we sang in the car?
and when we made our wishes on paper stars?
while we wondered if they counted here,
like the ones that sail through our atmosphere.

-:-

-;--chorus--;-

bridge:

what’s yours is mine and mine is yours
though it can’t always be ours
but just remember we can share
the constellations in the stars
the summer sky may stretch for miles
but it’s still over you and I
so please don’t cry
we’ll share the sky.

-;--chorus--;-

I love you so…

I love you so.
