CHAPTER 6: YOU’RE BUSTED!
This will all be told in Brooke’s POV
Lately, Hannah is sad. I think it’s because Wesley keeps on flirting with other girls- especially to me (as what they say…) but I don’t think it’s the real reason.
“Wesley, are you and Hannah okay?” I asked one time to Wesley.
“Yes we are.” he replied.
Then later that night, I asked Hannah if she and Wesley are okay.
“Are you and Wesley okay?” I asked Hannah.
“Yeah. We’re like bread and butter.” Hannah said.
But I really think that there is something wrong between the two of them. They don’t really hang out. Plus, they seem that they are only friends and nothing more than that.
So right now, I am in the room together with Samantha and Eliza.
“So why are we here again Sam?” Eliza asked.
“Ask Brooke.” Samantha replied.
“Well, I think that Wesley and Hannah are quarreling and so I’m planning to set them up in a romantic date.” I said.
“Frankly, that would work if it was between you and Wesley. You seem to be an item.” Samantha said.
“Please not you also.” I said.
“She’s right. Wesley keeps flirting on you.” Eliza said.
“I don’t care. As long as we set up a date, I think they’ll resolve everything.” I said.
“But why?” Samantha asked. Oh yeah, I’m the only one who knows about their relationship.
“Because they are an item.” I blurted out.
“You mean he is the European boyfriend?” Eliza asked.
“Yep.” I said.
“How long have you known that it was Wesley?’ Eliza asked now looking at her laptop.
“The day before I toured Wesley in school.” I said.
“Wow, okay. And Hannah hasn’t done her routine with her boyfriends.” Samantha said.
“What do you mean a routine?” Eliza asked still looking at her computer probably researching about something.
“I mean do you notice that in her boyfriends, she always wears that pearl necklace of hers.” Samantha said.
“Yeah I kinda noticed that too. But that’s beside the point. We should set them up!” I said.
“Fine… Don’t be hot. We’ll do it.” Eliza said still her eyes on the computer.
So we set up the place, in the Palace Balcony- that is really expensive but good thing that it is owned by Samantha’s brother- Samuel.
“Is everything perfect now?” I asked.
“Yep. We even have the costumes already.” Eliza said. We have planned to be part of it (y’know having mustache, wig and costumes.)
So I called Wesley and told him that to dress in formal attire ‘coz I’m gonna treat him to Palace Balcony while Eliza called Hannah and says to dress up formally ‘cause they will have a party tonight.
“Presto! We’re ready. Do you have your walkie talkies?” I asked.
“We have it Brooke. Don’t worry this would eventually work.” Samantha said.
So we dressed up ourselves and when we were done- they were already there. I, the waiter, heard them talk.
“Hannah, have you seen Brooke?” Wesley asked.
“No. Eliza told me that they’ll have a party here.” Hannah said in confusion.
“Huh? But Brooke told me that we will have dinner here.” Wesley said.
“Are you serious? They set this up!” Hannah said.
“It certainly is.” Wesley said.
“I should go home then.” Hannah said. What? Aren’t they happy to have such romantic date?
“We will waste no effort Hannah. We have a lot of things to talk about.” Wesley said.
So as a gentleman, Wesley offered a seat to Hannah and he suited himself.
“Sam, are you there?” I asked over the walkie talkie.
“I’m here. Gonna do my part now!” she said.
Because Samantha could play the violin, she was disguised like a male musician and played near the table.
“The music’s really nice.” Hannah said.
“Are you a professional?” Wesley asked when Samantha finished the piece.
“Yes.” Samantha lied. She is still studying it.
Then after that, I went there to let them see the menu.
“Is this it?” Hannah asked when the music was played again.
“The food’s really good. They really know what we want.” Wesley said.
“But only Brooke knows what I like.” Hannah said.
“But she is part of this set up.” Wesley said.
So they were talking about nonsense as in no romance thing involved. But then, I started to feel that I want to be in Hannah’s shoes- having a date with Wesley in a high place.
I have a twinge of guilt and… jealousy?
OMG… This is definitely wrong.
“May I have the menu back?” I asked in an angry and manly voice.
“Sure.” Wesley said returning their menu.
I went back there and starting to get angry.
“What the hell Brooke? You shouldn’t have left.” Eliza said.
“Sam’s there anyway. They are like friends but I don’t get it why I’m angry.” I said.
“Oh my gosh, are you jealous?” Eliza asked.
“Maybe.” I said.
“You need to go. Bring these appetizers.” Eliza said.
So I went back and serve them but nothing changed. This is really fishy. Wesley’s not that quiet during our dates.
“Sir, you should interact with your girlfriend.” I said in a manly voice.
“Uhh… she’s not my girlfriend.” Wesley said.
“Yeah. We’re just friends who are being set- up. I’m so sorry if you were included in this mess.” Hannah said apologetically.
What? They are not an item now?
“Sir, did you break up?” I asked shockily but a relief I used that manly voice.
“Clearly, you didn’t understand. We haven’t dated ever.” Wesley said in a matter-of-fact voice.
“What the hell? Hannah, you lied?” I asked taking off my wig and mustache.
“Brooke?” Wesley asked in total shock.
“I’m so sorry. It’s just that you’re never stopped me bothering about my break up with Marcus Lake.” Hannah apologized.
“You thought I was dating Hannah? Don’t you notice that I go near many girls? If you must know, I’m not like that if I have a girlfriend.” Wesley hissed and walked off.
Eliza and Samantha went near us and looked at Hannah.
“I’m so sorry. I’m such a bitch.” Hannah sobbed.
“It already happened. We lost Wesley’s friendship.” Eliza said staring at me.
“We haven’t lost his friendship. I know we haven’t.” Samantha said.
“So, no European guy exists?” I asked.
“I really met Wesley there and I have known that he’ll come soon but it’s because of his first love.” Hannah said.
“Wow.” Eliza said.
“Hannah, why do you have to pretend?” Samantha asked.
“I’m really sorry. I just want to be okay. Y’know move on.” Hannah said.
So we hugged her tight and went home.
