Of pretty pinks and blues
He paints a sky of yellow
And orange shades and hues

He takes the sun and smudges it
To create an awesome view
And dots the sky with clouds
As the night starts to ensue

God paints a picture
On a canvas of blue bright
He makes what use he can
Of the now dying daylight

He uses bright rays as bars
To hold back the night
So for a little longer
We can enjoy the sight

God paints a picture
Of pretty pinks and blues
He paints a sky of orange
Using every single hue

He turns the sky to gold
And it's priceless for a few
He paints a pretty picture
