His sultry words slithered through his teeth and crept into my ears, as I listened to him read his life on paper. I shuddered at the beauty of his words, his voice resonated in my head, and has been there for five and a half months. After club was over he walked over to me and stuck out his hand.
“Hi I’m Alex,” he said with a tempting grin.
“Hi I’m Hannah” I replied, my heart beating so fast I thought it would jump out of my skin. Suddenly I knew that was the one I wanted, he was amazing and perfect in every way, but he was a senior and I was just a puny freshman. We left the classroom and proceeded with our lives, going separate ways, wanting different things.
After a month or so of small talk and small touch, it became a process. I had Gifted Economics fourth hour and he had Mr. Anald who was the club sponsor, and thus Alex could do whatever he wanted, which entailed walking by my classroom and smiling and winking. My heart shuddered every time I saw him, and I know he knew the power he held over me. One day I saw him walking by, whistling like he does every time , beckoning me out into the hallway. I asked my teacher to leave for the restroom and went outside to talk to him. He was wearing a button down shirt and tan khakis and he looked so cute, and young, his face was clean and scrubbed, and he was shifting nervously. We walked for a while and then he stopped, rubbed his head, and slowly said,
“What are you doing the sixteenth?”
I replied “Oh, I don’t know, probably going to the dance,”
“Well if you want you can go with me” he said as he shifted from foot to foot. I grinned the biggest grin of my life, but trying to suppress my excited. I walked back into the classroom and started jumping up and down, and then I realized the door was still open and I looked and saw Alex just staring at me, smiling. I love being a freshman.
