the sunrise came early today
and it rained this morning
since it was just a bit too warm

the sunlight creeps into the waking corners
of the world
and I can’t help but smile
(since it means that spring
is right around the corner)

and as I watch the blades of grass
struggle to turn just a bit greener
I remind myself that there’s time
yes, there’s still time

to fall in love
