Smug smiles

And superior tones,

She thinks herself

So much better.

With her poor attempts

At off-topic conversations

In the middle of class,

She’s trying to scream

“I’m elite,”

with her knowledge of Dadaism and her summer academic programs.

At least I’m smart enough

To keep my fingers out of my throat.
