To Elizabeth, My Murderer

I’m in this world on my own,

I’ve always been alone.

That’s just how it was meant to be.

My heart was made fragile,

And this world was made for breaking.

People were made cruel and untrustworthy.

Knives were made for cutting,

Blood was made for spilling

On white carpeted floors.

My tears were made for crying

Over losing you, my friend.

My life was given to me for you to kill

And take away as you please.

You crucify me for a crime I didn’t commit

Rather than stand for me like I thought you would.

This world is full of innocent people

Dying for the ones they love.

Was it not our promise to die for each other?

Are the promises we made lies?

They meant something to me.

The lies were true to me.
