Tell me why we strive on people to break our hearts

Why do we become friends with all of the fake people

And all the real people are pushed aside and forgotten

We think we know our friends

Then they turn their back on us just to tell us lies

I hate the world that we have become

What ever happened to the sweet and wonderful people

Who once roamed this earth

It breaks my heart to see it come to this

Where our hearts require the pretend love of someone else

And we can’t tell from real or fake

Just tell me why we made this mistake
