Ya I got split ends and I'm proud of it

My hair is a little nappy

I try to straighten it out but it only makes my ends break anymore

When I try to hide it under my hat I feel shame that I have to hide stuff behind a hat

My hair reminds me of life

About how sometimes my grades aren't A's or B's

About how when you try to make everything perfect it turns up a little worse

About how secrets piled high and mean remarks I've made pile up and I try to hide them under other things
