You Really Do

As heat creeps to my face

I cover myself in shame,

for you have been successful

in making me blush again.

”I really like your belly,

your eyes are pretty, too.

There’s nothing more I’d love

than to spend my life with you.”

I tell you to be quiet,

as my cheeks are feeling hot.

You just want to make me blush again,

and I would rather not.

You have been successful.

You continue on, but why?

Then I realise, when you say these things,

you’re not telling me a lie.

You really feel these things for me.

I never had a clue.

You’re not lying when you say you want me.

In truth, you really do.
