White Out Into the Underworld
Five miles I have to run. I am only on lap three. I start to white out. I seem to have a buzzing noise in my ear, and I cannot see, so I slow down and start to walk. I now trip over myself and fall and I cannot move, and everything I see or don’t see is perfectly white. Now, I had apparently fallen asleep and I have woken up, expecting everyone to be crowded around me, but instead, it is pitch black everywhere.
I see Hades the God of the Underworld. He is just staring at me, must be some sort of admittance. I hope this is a dream. I feel like I am skydiving, and Hades looks like he is getting farther away every second. I now see “spirits” floating around, I see myself transforming into one of these spirits. I now am unwillingly floating around with them. But this isn’t the worst punishment you could get it really gives time to reflect. This is very surprising to me because of all the people that say things about how it is.
I hear a voice in my head. I ask him who he is, and he says, you know who I am. I am assuming it is Hades, but I could be wrong. He says, correct. I guess he has control of me. Then Hades says, this is your destiny if you keep on going this way, make the right decisions here on out and you will be fine. I start to white out again. Everything is black, I see Hades and I feel like I am going up. I open my eyes and I am running, just as if nothing happened to me. I finished the laps that I had to do I must have just daydreamed.
