threads

there’s a red string,
dangled, slipping
hung between your hips

as you snake your
way downwards
my name is a tangle
moaned against your hand

i love you. you hate me.
it doesn’t matter, your reaction is the same.

your lips are a seam that splits
pressed against the pillow on your bed.
you close your eyes and i creep behind them.

i listen as you gasp
praying that the sound
of your breathing
can hide the sound of your heart

But your shame suffuses my veins.
You are outraged that I would dare use you like this.

your fingers smooth out my angles
my mouth is left obtuse
and somehow i’m barely – barely tangent to you.

A/N: 14/11/07 - This has been edited, mainly for my misspelling of 'suffuses' which greatly irritated me. Thanks to every who reviewed and favourited. I'm so glad you like it, and I hope the other minor changes I've made are an improvement.
