Yuko looked around the place for a few minute until she comes upon a small chest, that easily fit in the palm of her hand, made out of cherry wood and brass. She decides she likes the little trinket and buys it. Once Yuko gets home and after eating dinner with her friends, her curiousity got the better of her and she opens the small chest. Then, a lot changes for the honor student of Kurosaki High...
Main Character minor info and description
Name: Yuko Manami
Age: 17
Description: Yuko is 5'4, she has long mid-back length, straight black hair with bangs that come to just above her eyebrows. Her eyes are an uncommon crystal green. She has a small frame, almost no chest and an almost unnoticable figure due to the clothes she wears. Her usual choice of clothes are a pair of loose jeans and a T-shirt. All in all... she's a pretty girl though she herself doesn't think so in the least.
Personality: You'll have to read and find out (mostly because... we ourselves haven't quite determined that yet... eh heh? n.n')
Mrs. Manami was cooking bacon and eggs in a frying pan but paused for a moment to put her hands over her ears, while Mr. Manami did the same sitting at the kitchen table.
"OM MY GAWD I'M GONNA BE LATE FOR MID-TERMS!!"
Birds flew out of the tree that was growing in the Manami household's front yard.
Mr. and Mrs. Manami removed their hands from their ears and continued what they were doing. Mrs. Manami picked up a couple slices of bacon, then a slab of egg, put the breakfast foods on a piece of toast, folded it in half, and held it out to no one in particular.
Yuko came running down the stairs with her bookbag on her back and went straight to the kitchen. She grabbed the sandwich form her Mother as she said, "Bye Mom love you! Bye Dad love you!" kissing each parent on the cheek before zooming out the front door. Though not before hear 'Bye dear have a good day' from both her parents in unison. Yuko shot down the street, across the road, and then ran a few more blocks until she came upon the large gates of Kurosaki High School.
"Hey Yuko!" a voice sounded behind said girl.
Yuko turned around to see a girl her age with chin-length curly brown hair and hazel eyes, and waved to her, "Hey Suzu!"
"Yuuuuuko-chan!" another voice also called from behind the girl known as Suzu.
"Ah! Hey Takashi-kun!" Yuko said with a laugh to Suzu's younger brother.
"Yuko have you seen Yoshiro-kun anywhere yet?" Suzu asked with a small blush.
Yuko snickered as she answered, "Sorry Suzu, haven't seen him."
Suzu sighed but she quickly recovered, her eyes seemed to turn into hearts as she flaoted towards a tall boy with short, glossy black hair, brown eyes, and was fairly tall standing about a head taller than Suzu.
Yuko shook her head.
"Is she at it again?"
Yuko nodded and answered the new voice, "Yep... I don't know if she'll ever stop liking Yoshiro to tell you the truth Megumi."
"So true, so true. Are you ready for the rest of the Mid-terms today?" Megumi asked. She was about three inches taller than Yuko's 5'4 and four inches taller than Suzu's 5'3, she black wavey butt-length black hair, and once again brown eyes.
"I don't know... I'm kinda worried. We have the science and Histroy exams today... they're the hardest ones for me..." Yuko answered.
"Yuko you're an honor student! You shouldn't have to worry about that kind of stuff, I mean jeez you have the best grades in the entire class... maybe even the whole school not counting Yoshiro-kun who's currently being drooled all over by Suzu..." Megumi said with a sweatdrop.
Yuko sighed as she walked over to Suzu, grabbed the back of her collar, and dragged her towards the entrance to the school with Megumi behind them.
"Do you think you passed Suzu?" Megumi asked.
"I don't know..."
"What about you Megumi?" Yuko asked.
"Well, I know I hope I passed... but I'm not sure either."
"May I have your attention please? May I have your attention please? Will the real Slim Shady please stand up? I repeat, will the real Slim Shady please stand up?... Sorry I couldn't resist!" A voice sounded over the intercom, making the entire student body sweatdrop.
"I swear that man scares me sometimes..." Megumi stated while Yuko and Suzu nodded in agreement.
"Well anyway, I will now announce all of the students that have passed their mid-terms..." The voice then listed all of the students that passed the mid-terms, which included Yuko, Suzu, and Megumi.
All three girls sighed in relief.
"Hey... why don't we go out and celebrate?" Megumi suggested.
"Sounds good to me." Yuko said and smiled.
"Same here." Suzu also agreed.
"Alright then it's settled." Megumi said with a smile. "We'll al go out shopping!"
Yuko slapped her hand to her face, "How did I know she was going to suggest that?" she said quietly to herself.
"So, are we going after school ends in... two seconds?" Suzu asked, and as soon as Megumi nodded the bell rang signaling the end of school. (3:00p.m.)
After all three girls were finished packing up, they headed out to where all the stores were... the mall.
On the way back, Yuko just happened to look to her right where she saw a small antique shop that she never noticed before. She stopped in her tracks and called up to her two friends, "Ano, you two go on ahead, I'll catch up later and call you when I get home. ok?"
"Alright... Ja!" Megumi answered while Suzu waved.
Yuko waved back before she turned and walked to the small shop. Once inside, she looked around in awe at some of the beautiful antiques on the shop's shelves. "Sugooooi!" she said quietly as she walked deeper into the shop, but stopped when something small caught her eye. Yuko turned to face the objectm and carefully picked it up. It was a small chest made of cherry wood and brass, and it fit in the palm of Yuko's hand perfectly.
"Ano, do you like it?" An elderly woman asked.
"Oh, yes ma'am... how much is it?" Yuko asked curiously.
"Ah, let me see... how about... 100 yen?" the old woman smiled.
"Ok!" Yuko chirped excitedly, "Here you go." she said, handing the exact amount to the woman.
"Ah, thank you and come again!" the woman said with a smile as Yuko left.
Mrs. Manami heard something upstairs in Yuko's room so she went to check it out. When she opened the door, all she saw was a little antique chest lying open on the floor. "Yuko?!"
Ja- later
