It was freezing cold and the game had just begun.

Coach was just yelling, I thought the girls rugby team was supposed to be fun?

I was frozen and the coolness in the breeze didn’t help.

I kept on playing, no matter how bad I felt.

After our half-time mark we ran back to the field.

I didn’t think I could sprint anymore; I really didn’t want to deal.

Then, out of the corner of my eye I saw him.

Those light blue eyes put the arctic chill to shame.

Yet, his light red hair was enough to convince, I had to play.

The game soon ended and all was done.

After coach had finished talking, I did my best to find him.

When I finally saw him I knew he could see me.

Then that smile he sent me seemed to thaw my lips,

so then I could smile too.
