Where is the thread that connects all things?

It has been cut by the blades of hate.

Where is the river that used to cascade down the mountains?

It has been choked by the waste of arrogance.

Where is the mountain that used to stand so tall?

It has been pounded back into the earth by the hammer of greed.

Where is the grass that used to cover the valley?

It has been made into dust by the rains of cruelty.

Where is the child that was running, loving the earth?

She has been made into a hater by the winds of faith.

Where is the tree that used to be so tall and majestic?

It has been cut down by the saws of mercilessness.

Where is the world that used to be?

It has gone, passed through the oceans in the west,

Killed by those who loved it not.

Where is the love that used to shine brighter than the sun?

It has been extinguished by the tears of the tortured.

Where has humanity gone?

It is still here for it is the destroyer of all things.
