Corrupt me, baby,

Strip off my mother’s values and my father’s warnings.

Forget them, next to the “very sexy” black bra

Lying on the floor.

Get me drunk, baby,

On rum left over on your lips.

Race every swig I take deeper into me,

Deep, until you find where the whole world,

Is you- is rum- is me.

Whisper to me, baby,

“It’s hard, it’s

So hard,” in the sticky dark, forgetting

Names of boys who mattered,

It’s so hard- being easy.

Down deep, it’s just so damn hard.
