Author Notes: We were told to write a poem in english class about things that make us happy. To list them and turn them poemish. So... here's how mine ended up. DDT

I believe in soft silent snowfall,

cuddling under blankets by a warm fire,

and rich hot chocolate, as warm as sweet kisses.

I believe in walking through shady woods,

warm water dripping from lush green leaves,

darting behind trees, playing games,

laughter lost between the earth and the sky.

I believe in warm sunny beaches,

little children with dripping chocolate ice cream,

barefoot feet, seashells, and sand castles.

I believe in skies of fire, burning trees, and crunching leaves,

in walking down the street, small goblins, witches, and ghosts running past me,

burning colors following in their wake.

I believe in watching the sun rise,

glittering dew drops hung amongst carefully crafted webs,

delicate and serene, a small fawns first steps in a damp yard,

large brown eyes, innocent to the world surrounding them.

I believe in dark rumbling storms,

clouds consuming the world, hot and brooding on the falling sky-line,

words entangeled in passion, fierce storms, and desperate love,

all fading into comforting darkness.
