Summary: Best friends Chris and Aeron find themselves caught in an embarrassing situation. When Aeron stumbles and falls onto Chris, she finds she's just kissed her best friend who's a girl. Chris, who's hiding the fact she's in love with Aeron, tries to sort out the mixed feelings she has. Aeron, on the other hand, is confused and questioning if she's ready for this or if she just wants to drop her friendship and forget everything.

Chapter One:

It’ll never stop raining, it’ll never stop snowing, it’ll never stop no matter how much you ask it to. The sun will keep shining, the rain will keep falling, and the Earth will keep turning. And when you fall in love, you’ll fall hard.

And that’s what happened with me.

“Ashen, please tell me you’ve found my homework?” I hollered, stumbling down the marble staircase. I heard something crash in the next room (was that glass?) and I heard a hiss of pain.

“No, I haven’t found your damned homework!” Ashen hollered back, stepping out of the living room, a few glass shards stuck in his hair. I sniggered and stumbled to his side, plucking the glass from his whitish hair.

“Sorry little brother,” I said, standing on my tiptoes to give him a kiss on his cheek. He snorted but returned the kiss before brushing past me. “Uh, you have something taped to your back, Ashen.” I pointed out, raising my eyebrow at him. He glanced over his shoulder then turned around in circles, trying to see what I was seeing. I laughed but danced forward, plucking the tape from his back. Ashen is Mine! it read on the back and I giggled.

“Uh, looks like your boyfriend went crazy on you in the middle of the night.” I said, showing him the duck tape. Ashen laughed and gently took the tape from my fingers and folded it carefully and laid it on the table next to him. “You guys are crazy,” I muttered, shaking my head.

“Thanks a lot big sis,” Ashen laughed. “I’ll remember this when you get your first boyfriend!” he joked, laughing at the look I was giving him.

“Oh, leave your older sister alone!”

“Aw, you’re mean!”

“Be nice; she’s your one and only sister.”

“Oh, c’mon! It’s not like I’m making fun of her, Darren.” Ashen whined, giving his famous pout. I laughed and glanced over my shoulder to stare at Darren. He was only half a year older than Ashen, which I didn’t mind too much. Darren was the athletic type even though he was slightly on the short side. His skin was pale, almost white looking, which gave him the look of an albino person. On all of his team jerseys he had “ALBINO” written where the player’s name would usually be. It was something that stuck but it wasn’t a bad nickname. He had sandy colored blonde hair and light blue eyes framed by eyeliner.

I always found it weird my brother’s boyfriend wore eyeliner but I never really made fun of the guy. But for some reason, the eyeliner made him look better than being without it. Ashen made a funny noise and I snapped out of my thoughts. Then I flipped him off and ran my hand through my tangled hair.

“I want to go back to sleep,” I whined, yanking a wad of hair off of my head. Ashen laughed and tugged on my arm, making me fall forward. “Sleep, my bed calls.” I whined again, tugging my arm from his hand. “It’s too early!” I said, my voice rising one octane and Darren laughed this time.

“But you get up at like five a.m. Saturdays and go to the mall with your friends,” Darren pointed out, ruffling my hair even more.

“Not fair, not fair! You’re taller than me!” I swatted his arm away. “Besides, that’s different!” I complained, stamping my foot. “It’s not like I’m forced to go to the mall. I’m forced to go to school; that’s why I get up so early on Saturdays. Besides, you guys get up at the most ungodly hour as well!” I reminded them, sticking my tongue out for good measure. They laughed and hugged me.

RING! The phone blared in our ears, making all three of us jump. Ashen ran up the stairs with Darren following close behind. I chuckled and picked up the phone.

“Oh-My-God! You’ve gotta listen to this fucking hilarious story!” Aeron, my best friend, exclaimed loudly.

“Oh, you so totally don’t have a fucking hilarious story to tell!” Ashen said on the second phone line.

“Ashen, get off the damned line!” I shouted into it, regretting it when I heard Aeron hiss.

“Okay, I’m off, I’m off,” Ashen whined but I smiled when I heard the click in my ear.

“Okay, now I can tell you!” Aeron started again. “Oh, by the way, Axel wants to know if he can borrow your Algebra homework?” Aeron stated, mumbling to Axel in the background.

“Uh, tell him when Ashen and I find it, then he can borrow it.” I told her, biting my fingernail. She repeated it to Axel and I heard him moan and groan about having to do all thirty problems himself. I laughed and listened as Aeron started the long story….

oOoOoOoOoOoOo

Twenty minutes later. “Hey Aeron, you wanna come over instead? You know how much I hate the phone.” I said, hoping she would say yes and I could hang up. She laughed and said something to Axel.

“He wants to know if he can come and if you can feed him.” she said and I heard the tiny click of her tongue.

“Sure, he knows he can come over whenever.” I replied, shrugging my shoulders even though she couldn’t see me.

“Sure, sure. I’ll be over in thirty. See ya then.” I heard the click and then dial tone buzzing in my ear. I put the phone down and dropped to my knees then rolled over on my back.

“Hullzos!” Darren said, plopping down next to me. I growled and closed my eyes.

“I hate when you two do that,” I said when I sensed Ashen next to me. They laughed and I felt pressure on my hips. I opened my eyes to find Darren sitting on them, grinning evilly.

“Ow, ow, ow!” I said, balling my hand into a fist. Both laughed and Darren pulled on my holey shirt, pulling me into a sitting position. I grinned as he leaned forward and kissed me on my lips.

“Aw, let me in you hog!” I heard Ashen exclaim and a heavy thump next to me. I laughed and pulled my legs out from underneath Darren as Ashen pushed his way in.

“Is your brother at it again?” Aeron asked as soon as she got into the door. I laughed and nodded at her question, shutting the door behind Axel. “Ugh, that is so like him. That little..”

“You better not finish if you know what’s best.” I threatened her, my eyes narrowing. I didn’t tolerate anyone making fun of my brother, not even Aeron could say anything bad against him. I had gotten into fights before because of things people said about my brother and they regretted it later.

“Okay ladies, no fighting!” Axel hollered, giving us a wide smile. I bit my bottom lip but my eyes stayed focused on Aeron. I heard him mumble something about going to the fridge and he left us standing there.

“Look, I’m sorry.” Aeron mumbled, keeping her gaze trained on the floor. “I just forgot. Okay? I’m sorry.” she said quietly, stubbing the toe of her shoe against the floor.

“Whatever,” I said, my voice cold. I didn’t want to be rude but I was still a little upset over the whole thing.

“Look, I said I’m sorry!” she said as I turned away from her. She grabbed my arm and forced me to face her. But instead of standing straight up, I moved back slightly, causing her to stumble a bit. A moment later I felt her lips against mine.

“Oh crap!”

Author's Notes: Deviantart . com 007-WriteOff is having this year round writing thing. This is the first chapter for it. The summary sucks but I'll change it later.

"Lust" is currently on hold. I only have 800+ words written for chap5 and I'm not going to post until I have at least 1000. :D

Enjoy this for now! Even if it will eventually have F/F relationships and M/M relationships. :)
