answered prayers
a red velvet rose isn't a flower
without the silken smooth petals
a night sky can't be beautiful
with the absence of shining stars
arctic winter days aren't worth it
if the glistening snow won't fall
the sandy beaches lack tranquility
when waves stop crashing ashore
love can't justly be known as love
by mere words and no actions
pieces of literature isn't interesting
without the conflicts and plotlines
a woman can't grow and mature
without knowledge of love and loss
nothing can be contently completed
if the end holds no final page
life loses resolves to be bright
when your brilliant flare is gone;
perhaps the angels were right
you are my answered prayers
