Awakening to morning,
I turn to face her side,
I watch her sleeping face fade,
my memories betray,

Turning to face another,
calling me over to be by her side,
I watch her fade away,

Driving back home,
with another by my side,
I watch her hand fade from mine,
my memories betray,

Battling the evils of others,
with my faithful other by my side,
I watch her fall and fade,
my memories betray,

Returning to my room,
the sweet embrace feels great,
I watch as she fades,
my memories betray,

Married and working hard,
happily working through the dawn,
I glance as the ring fades,
my memories betray,

Finding another by my side,
is not as desirable as many say,
until I can find the answer,
to why my memories betray...
