Ocean of Darkness

I gaze out,

Upon the ocean.

Darkness is all I see.

The waves,

Cold and terrifying,

Powerfully rushing towards me.

The wind,

Whips my hair back,

Cold.

I shudder.

Yet remain standing.

Staring out on the infinite abyss of water.

What, or who I’m looking for,

I know not.

But I know,

That when I find it,

Or them,

I’ll be complete.

At last.
