You could say that I am falling
You could say that I have hit rock bottom
You could say that I have been splattered
Bit by bit
Across the rocks at the bottom of a cliff

You could say all these things
You could say I am dead
You could say I am not breathing
You could say that I am mindless
Foolish; soulless; thoughtless

But you could say so many things
And you know what?
Some of them may even have a grain
A pebble, a speck
Of truth

And I could say so much
But silence is what I choose
Silence and shadow

And I could fill your ears with truths
Stuff your belly full of them
Fill you up with truths until you hunger no more
But I choose not to
And isn't that what this is all about-
Choice?
