Once upon a time on a beautiful summer afternoon, their lived two wonderful children, who had absolutely nothing to do. Their names were Brittany and Bryson. They never went around making trouble, but they were bored so they went for a walk.

While they were walking down the road they came across an old trunk. It was open so they decided to have a look inside. When they looked inside the trunk they were sucked into a completely different world!

Being sucked into a box into a different world was frightening for the children. They screamed and shouted hoping someone would hear them. They had no clue about what was happening to them. When they calmed down, they found they were in a world of forests, flowers, and log cabins. At first they tried to get help from people in the log cabins but no one seemed to be home. Then they went to the city to try and find a way home.

When they got into the city they realized that nothing looked the same. The streets had different names, their house was not in it’s usual spot, and everyone was dressed in dull colored clothes. They stopped and asked someone what year it was just to make sure they weren’t crazy. The person said, “1942.” They stood there too shocked to move, looking like their lives had just ended. Bryson said, “We are never going to see our parents again are we?” Brittany was still too shocked to speak. They sat there wondering how they were going to get back home that night.

When it got dark they went and slept in the woods. Too scared to go to sleep they looked up at the tree tops. Eventually their eyelids drooped and they slept. Their sleep turned out to be a good one, unlike what they had predicted. When they went back to the city to try to find a way back home, they came to find that they had pretty weird ideas.

Bryson said, “We could build a time machine.” But they both knew that was not possible. After an hour or so Brittany came up with a, not so unusual plan that could actually work.

She said to Bryson, “We were walking down the road when we came to a trunk right?” Bryson nodded his head. “Well if we could find that trunk again we could get sucked into it and come back to our regular time.” Bryson decided to go along with this plan because he figured that they had nothing to lose.

They walked down the road that they used to live on for a few minutes to see if they could find a trunk. And sure enough when they got a little further down the road, they found a trunk that looked almost exactly like the trunk that had gotten them into this mess in the first place. They ran to it and looked inside. The next thing they knew, they were sucked inside the trunk again!

The children held onto one another until they didn’t feel anything anymore. They opened their eyes hoping that it would be their time, but they quickly realized that they didn’t. They looked around in shock!

They saw cars flying, people riding around on floating skates, and children hopping on pogo sticks that went 10 feet into the air. They thought that they were dreaming.

When they realized that they weren’t dreaming they went to find out what year it was. They walked up to a person and asked them what year it was and they replied, “2052.” They did not know what to do. Every time they thought that they were doing something right they were really doing it wrong!

Eventually they thought about giving up. They thought that they were never going to get home so what was the use in even trying anymore. They stayed there in the city that night thinking about where they were going to live for the rest of their lives.

They had a surprisingly good sleep that night. When they woke up they wanted to get something to eat, so they went to a convenient store and bought some crackers. They went to the place where their house was supposed to be and saw their parents having breakfast with them in their futuristic selves, and wanted to be home so badly. They had traveled 61 years to the past, and 49 years into the future, but they wanted to find out how to get to their own time.

Bryson was already planning his lifestyle in the future, but Brittany thought that they should find another way to get back home. She kept saying that there had to be another way to get back because they went into the past and into the future, so there had to be a way to get back to their own time, there just had to be!

Brittany then came up with a plan. At first they walked just a little bit down the road to the trunk, the second time it seemed to take a while longer to get to it. All they had to do was walk the right amount of distance to the trunk to get to their right time. It was just that simple.

Brittany told Bryson the plan. He thought that she was just plain out of it but went along with it anyway. Although the more he thought about it, it didn’t seem so outrageous. He could do this.

Brittany said, “Let’s just give it one more try alright. What have we got to lose?” A few minutes later Bryson agreed to give it one more shot. Then off they went to search for the trunk again. The children walked to where their house was supposed to be and set off on their journey down the road.

Walking a little while down the road they found a trunk and on it, it had the writing 1942 on it. Walking a little bit further down the road they found a trunk that said 2052 written on it. Finally they walked a little farther and found the trunk that they were looking for. It had 2003 written on the side of it.

They were so happy they wanted to cry. Brittany asked Bryson if he was ready to go, he nodded his head yes. Bryson asked Brittany, “Do you think that it has really been two days in out time? Because if it has, don’t you think that our parents would have called the police and told them that we were missing by now?” Brittany said, “I had never thought about that. Well, I would rather go home and get yelled at then stay here for the rest of my life. Wouldn’t you?” Bryson said, “Well, I guess so. I just pray that they haven’t.” And with that they stuck their heads into the trunk again, and got sucked in.

When they opened their eyes after not feeling any movement, they saw that they were in the right time period, they got up and ran to their house.

It was two days later and their parents had indeed called the police. When they walked through they door their parents asked them where they ahd been and gave them hugs. They did not know what to say. The children did not want to lie to their parents, but if they told them the truth they knew their parents would think that they were crazy. But they told them the truth anyways. They told their parents that they got sucked into a completely different world into the future and into the past. Their parents asked them if they were joking and they said yes deciding finally not to tell them the truth. Both children got grounded for the first time in their lives. They sat in their rooms and did nothing. When it came time to go to bed they were so glad because they wouldn’t have to do anything but go to sleep.

The next morning did not feel right to Brittany. She got out of bed, went downstairs and found her brother watching television. She told him he wasn’t supposed to be watching TV because he was grounded. He said, “We have never been grounded before. What are you talking about?”

She asked her mother the same question and got the same response. She thought it had been real but she could have been dreaming. The dream was so realistic. It felt like she was there. She closed her eyes and lay on her bed. She saw a spacecraft over her and in an instant she was lifted off the ground and was abducted by aliens. When she opened her eyes she said, “My, what an active imagination I have!” and lay down and went to sleep, without anymore dreams.

Even though her mom and brother thought she was losing her mind, she woke the next morning perfectly find. She had forgotten everything that had happened in the dream before.

Into the future, and into the past.

Seems like that would be a blast.

AN I do have another story coming out so I hope that if you like this you will enjoy that one also. I have already mentioned that I wrote these stories in middle school in the 7th grade so I was like 13 but I would like you to review them and tell me what you think about them. I would appreciate it if you would be a little nice to me in those too thanks.
