“Plastic Body Parts”

The scientists found out something today

They left me with nothing left to say

Except: “Damn, you are right.”

-

The inventors built something new today

That we never ever really needed anyway

Except to spend money on

-

The advertisers sold something new today

That makes human brains look useless and grey

And not made out of plastic

-

Plastic fingers and plastic lungs

Plastic feet and ladder rungs

Plastic food and plastic forks

And I’m newer than plastic corks

-

My neighbor bought a new machine today

That takes task of breathing away

And gave me his old lung

-

My mother bought a new machine today

That takes all of her feelings away

And deals with them for her

-

I bought the newest machine today

It takes all my thoughts away

And wastes my time for me
