Epilogue.
I was relieved and sad at the same time to be going home. One the one hand I wanted to go back home and recuperate from are vacation, but on the other I had know Idea when I’d see them again.
Like Murph had said by the next morning he and Vicky were, though stiff, unmarked. Reeve was back one hundred present and didn’t hold a grudge against Tony for nearly killing him.
Mom and Dad were sad when we told them we planned on going home, and that we wanted to leave around noon the next day but they understood that we were all homesick.
Mom hadn’t seemed very surprised when Vicky told her she was coming to New York with us, and even as Vicky was telling her she wanted to find a job in one of the five star places in the city mom’s eyes flicked to Murph and she’d smiled.
Christian told me that Simon might come to visit us soon but they weren’t together. In his words, “It was a summer fling, it would never work out…hey look! Cookies!” and he’d wandered off in the direction of cookies as happy as ever.
Well, here we are. We’re saying are last good-byes. All of are stuff is piled into Murph’s jeep and Gir seem incredibly happy to be going back to his cat free home. Reeve has taken his place in the divers seat. Murph and Vicky are snuggled together in the back seat, Christian is on Vicky’s other side and wave franticly at my family.
I gave my Brother, my Mom, and finally my Dad one last hug. As My Dad hugged me back he whispered in my ear.
“ I like that Reeve fellow. He’s got a good head on his shoulders. You done good, going to stand on your own to feet, like you did. I’m proud of you.” I hugged his harder and fought back tears.
“I love you Dad.” I said and stepped back.
“I love you too, now scat. It’ll be midnight before you get home as it is.
Smiling I jumped into the jeep, taking my place at Reeve’s side. That’s where I belong. At his side, not hiding behind him. I don’t know if he plans to every turn me into a vampire but I guess I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. As for now I was only thinking about the long drive and my desire to get back home. I do miss my bike, and I can’t forget about my Jacuzzi tub in my personal bathroom.
We’d been driving for about two hours, all of use laughing and talking the whole time, when I tiny female voice sounded from the back.
“Christian! How much longer?” The car went dead silent. What hell? Who’d said that?
“About three hours, why? Are you hungry?” Christian responded to the voice like nothing at all was out of the ordinary. Well, for him I guess it wasn’t. Oh grate, now we all could here the voices in his head.
Reeve, I guess, didn’t come to the same conclusion. “Christian?” He asked. His eyes were glued to Christian in the rear view mirror but the jeep never wavered. “What was that?”
“That was Kate.” He told us all like that explained everything. The name did seem familiar. I blinked.
“Kate? Kate the pixie?” I asked, surprised. I’d really thought Christian had dreamed them.
“Who else would id be?” came Kate’s voice and in the next second she appeared in the front of the vehicle and landed on my knee. “I would have introduced myself sooner but I guess I fell asleep. Sorry.” I blinked again.
The tiny woman on my knee was about three inches tall, she had pale skin and short, wild red hair. Her eyes were dark and she was wearing a pair of tight flare jeans and what looked like the top to a black bikini. The top allowed for the complete freedom of the long dragonfly wings spouting from her shoulders.
Her tiny feet were bare and if my eye’s didn’t deceive me she had black vines tattooed on her left shoulder.
“Umm…” I faltered and I tried again. “You’re a pixie…” Kate raised an eyebrow and I grimaced, yes she was a pixie, duh Andrea. “I mean, pixies exist? I mean I didn’t know pixies existed…”
Kate grinned. “We’re very good at hiding.”
“I didn’t know that pixie existed either.” Said Reeve with a frown. Obviously he did like, and wasn’t used to, finding out he was wrong.
“Like I said, we’re good at hiding. I hope to all don’t mind me tracing on like this, but I couldn’t stand living there anymore. I had to escape.” Kate said. She looked down with a scowl and Christian reached forward and she stepped onto his open palm.
“It’s no trouble” Murph told her and she looked up with a smile.
“Thank you.” She said. “I promise I won’t be a burden, and I can work wonders with the herb garden Christian says is in your kitchen windows.”
“So,” Reeve said. “Are there other thing like…I don’t know, unicorns and stuff too?”
Kate gave a, I wont tell you, you figure it out, grin and said “you believe in unicorns?”
It’s good to be home. We’ve been home for about two weeks and I’m happy to say that this side of the city didn’t burn to the ground without Reeve and Murph here to watch it.
There’s was a fight at O’Hara’s, Murph’s bar, but it was just a couple drunks, no big deal.
Kate is absolutely great, and she wasn’t exaggeration. The window garden is exploding with life; Murph and Vicky are both thrilled. They’re working on getting a catering service going. I have to admit they could do it. We do have a professional kitchen.
Kate’s also Christians new best friend, and she sleeps in a tissue box in his room.
Currently I’m currently in my room but not for long. I need to go find Reeve, I have a surprise for him, I think he’s gonna like it. I’m excited about telling him about the surprise, you all know the feeling I’m talking about.
I opened my door, practically dancing with excitement. I stared down the hall at a run, “Reeve!” I yelled as loud as I could, still running. I more or less flew down the stairs and he caught me up in his strong cold arms.
“Andrea? What is it? Are you hurt?” He looked at me and frowned. “Why are you grinning like that? Did you eat something Christian gave you?”
I laughed and my grin widened. “No, but I got something to tell you!”
HE raised an eyebrow; I think my grin was starting to freak him out. “What do you need to tell me?” he asked suspicious.
I took a deep, excited breath. “Reeve, I love you and I’m pregnant!”
Reeve froze and when he didn’t give me any kind of reaction my smile faded. Was he upset? It had never crossed my mind that he wouldn’t be happy. There was still nothing. “A-are you angry?” I asked him, worried.
My voice seemed to snap him out of whatever daze he was in. He looked at me and a smile broke slowly a crossed his face. “You’re pregnant! Are you sure!”
My excitement came back with a rush, like an electric surge. “Yes! I’m positive!”
Reeve pulled me to him and kissed my mouth hard, and then he picked me up and swung me around. “No I’m not angry! I’m…I’m ecstatic!”
I giggled and we stop spinning but he didn’t put me down. “I knew you’d be excited!”
Reeve kissed me again and I wrapped my legs around his waist. “Andrea James.” He said and I smiled at him. “I love you.”
He carried me into the kitchen and set me down on the counter. He kisses my mouth again. “I love you.” he said and then he tugged up my shirt and kissed my still flat stomach. “And I love you too.” He told it.
I laughed and hugged his head. “And we love you too.”

This story as been brought to you by, the over active imagination of Courtney, also brought to you by late night sugar highs and evil bunnies.
I know people have been wondering if there’s going to be another book…well…that’s my little secret. But probably I will. I do want to have one more full length and I love these characters, so I think I’ll do some one shorts with them.
