How easy it is
to pit my heart against yours,
smear the blood on your words
and declare you "red worded."
Smear to whine, whine to groan.
You'd think I only engage myself
in practice with the blind at
lack-of-target practice.

In truth I've no Dick and
no Ray on my eyes.
This white glove innocence leaves me
petrified.
I'll take the ketchup out of
the fridge now, hun, but it seems
you've taken a liking to lemons
anyhow.
