"An Important Message"

You're furious, you're angry,

You say that you hate me.

But why are you mad?

Do you think that I'm bad? (then maybe you're begining to understand.)

I admit I feel nothing.

Why should I feel something

In these cards that I've delt?

Love is like felt. (cheap and cut to size.)

Love is so trifile.

It's so hard to stifle

A laugh when you speak

About this week's love peak. (the meanderings of one blinded by Cloud 9.)

Am I so wrong?

Love's for a song.

My cynical mind

Vs. your hopeless find. (you can't understand why I say what I do.)

Two against one

And you think that I'm done

But what you can't see

Is that I'm being me. (two old biddies can go on forever)

I'll say it again,

To bring this to an end:

My feelings are mild,

But you act like a child. (how many people will you complain to before you're satisfied?)

If you have something to say,

Then let's stop this play.

I'll put down my pen.

No more messages you'll send. (because this is utterly pointless.)
