The Price of Freedom: Paid in Blood

What is life?

It’s a gift given only once

Something so precious nothing else can surpass it

It’s as strong as steel

As delicate as a flower

As beautiful as love

Treasure it always and keep it close

Life cannot be bought

Only given

Life force is not to be trifled with

It has a will of iron

A heart of gold

A stubborn mind

But life can die

As love can die

Snuffed out as easily as a candle

To steal life is sin

The worst of all

But what is life without freedom?

Is it worth the pain?

The anger?

The hate?

Life dies without freedom

Life becomes an empty shell

Beautiful but meaningless

Everyone should fight for freedom

For life

For there is nothing without it
