Do you know the story of Prometheus? Gave a gift to the humans and was forever to be chained to a rock; His liver torn out, day by day. Well, some of the gods aren’t entirely pleased with this idea. So Venus devises a plan to set Prometheus free: with love
Venus, the goddess of love, gazed down upon the titan Prometheus. Chained to a boulder on Caucasus Mountains, he was destined for eternity to have his liver torn out, and than to be reborn with the sun. It had been about 1000 years since it had begun, and Venus felt sorry for him. She had never thought Zeus’s way of dealing with things was exactly fair.
She had an idea though, to help Prometheus.
She would make him a woman. For Zeus would never suspect a woman of being the one to set Prometheus free. He was too much of a chauvinist.
She giggled at this; life had become tedious up at mount Olympus. A little intrigue was what she needed.
Of course she would have to recruit a few of the others, Artemis and Epimetheus.
Oh, how she loved a good plot

“It’s perfect Epimetheus” Venus assured the Titan.
She gazed down at the small clay figure on the table. The goddess had given her all the gifts of the gods, beauty, loyalty, courage, kindness, etc. The only thing she didn’t have was immortality; she would have to earn that.
“She is my best work yet” Epimetheus murmured “Tis unfortunate about the eyes”
“She was not meant to see” Venus said, sadly
“I know; nothing can be perfect”
“I must take her to Artemis now. Will you come?”
“Nay, I cannot, I have work to do” He sighed, “I would like to know how things work out though.”
“Of course” Venus smiled, and carefully picked up the clay figure.
She than hurried over to Artemis’

“Please Arty” Venus pleaded
“How many times must I tell you to not call me by that name?”
“I’ll stop if you just do this one favour for me”
The goddess, Artemis, sighed. “Fine, but you owe me”
Venus handed the girl figure over. Artemis took a deep breath, than blew on the girl.
The figures every feature glowed with a bright light, there was a flash and the clay disappeared, only to be replaced by a doll, a doll that looked exactly like the woman.
“There, I did a little something extra too. With that doll you will know where the human is at all times, you will also be able to tell what she’s feeling, and if she’s alive.”
“My thanks Artemis”
“I must admit Venus, my curiosity is piqued, and I would like to know what you plan to do with this mortal”
Venus smiled, than proceeded to tell Artemis.
Artemis laughed when she was done “I like it, and I must admit. I do loath what Zeus has done to Prometheus. I have one question though, what is wrong with her eyes?”
“Tis unfortunate, Epimetheus slipped up when sculpting her. I don’t think Prometheus will mind though, he never liked perfection”
“Prometheus never liked anything” Artemis smiled “What will you name her?”
“Taryn” The goddess of love replied
“Well than, good luck Taryn” Artemis Whispered
