In Love, There is no Common Sense

Hey Girl,
Did you hear the news?
Didn’t think so…

Hey, Girl,
Do you know where your boyfriend is right now?
Thought you would know…

Well, it looks as if he’s at it again
Foolin’ around
Leavin’ you in the dark
Now, that’s something I’ll never understand
Why we both love someone
Who breaks our hearts.

The rational thing to do
Is to leave him
But… I don’t blame you for staying
Because, if I was in your shoes
I’d keep him too.
I guess, in love, there is no common sense.

He’s everything I want
Everything I’m dreaming of
Yet, everything that I despise.
He’s nice, he’s funny
He’s the perfect man
And yet, we’re just two other girls in his eyes.

Yes, Girl,
I bet now that you know…
I love him too…

Oh, Girl,
I don’t wanna let him go
And apparently, neither do you

Well, it looks as if he’s at it again
Luring in our hearts
Tearing us apart
Now, I think there’s something I now understand.
He’s irresistible
Down to an art…

I didn’t know until now
That I could feel sympathy
And envy at the same time
I’m sorry for all the dreams
Your boyfriend has ruined… for you…

And yet…

I wish I was in your shoes.

Hey, Girl…
I guess that in love…
There is no common sense.
