A song, I suppose.

I traded your beautiful blues,
For his bloodshot browns.
I gave up your carefree spirit
For his unexplainable breakdowns.

And every now and again
I regret the decisions I made.
And wish that I never gave up,
On the only boy that made me happy

You’re charming, you’re funny,
You’re everything a girl could want.
But you didn’t love me the way I did you.
But he does, and I settled for that.

And every now and again,
I regret the decisions I made.
And wish that I never gave up,
On the only boy that made me happy

You were all that I needed,
You were all that I wanted
And yet, you’re the only one
I just could not have.

Maybe if I tried a little harder,
If I worked a little longer.
You’d be with only me,
Instead of that girl.

And every now and again,
I regret the decisions I made.
And wish that I never gave up,
On the only boy that made me happy

You’re the only one that made me happy.
