Take a step outside

First time in days I've felt alive

Finally feeling the sunlight

On my face again.

From chaos, walk away

Tell myself it's a brand new day

To change, however I may

And draw some strength inside.

Forget what's happened there and then

For just a moment my mind will bend

To remind me how it felt again

To feel the sunlight today.
