Waking with an idea
The drowsy climb out of bed
Quick a pencil
There is a rhyme in my head

No sense of spelling
Fumbling to word
Lost in my mind
Handwriting absurd

The last word down
I've scribbled my prose
Head hits the pillow
Back into a doze

Open my notebook
Now is the time
Look through my ideas
And decipher my rhyme
