Home

Into the opens arms of the earth
The sun came to greet
We ran into the open
Jogging through the empty street

It was good for the while
Keeping up the pace
Tryin’ to finish the mile
All with a straight face

Though at one instant
The world came crashing down
Slowing to a walk
Now wanting to fall

While visions were now blurry
I hadn’t said a word
But the message was clear
And now our destination was for home

The thoughts of falling was strong
But the will to live would go on
Afraid, worried- were emotions we shared
Though in no time, we were there

As long as home was in sight
My will and hope was there.
