Prelude: The Prophesy

I will tell you a story that’s only half true…To decide what is fiction is entirely up to you. You’d be surprised what you’d find if you unlocked your mind. There are things in this world that transcend all of time. So come with me now on this dream of a tale. You’ll find yourself weaved into words like a spell. Just keep your mind open, leave what you know behind. Fiction becomes fact when tales from two worlds entwine.

It was a night of beginnings and also a night of despair. A cold rain was falling as cries filled the air. Two children were born, they were twins you could say, but according to the people they were opposites like night and day. The sight of their eyes was what made them all wonder. Had a prophesy come true on this night filled with thunder?

It had long ago been said that two brothers would be born. The fate of the world would between them be torn. One would bring peace with eyes pale like blue skies. The other with dark eyes would cause the world’s demise. Here they both lay with hair black like the night. Whispers and rumors filled the people with fright.

What should we do?” they pondered in disdain. Should the prophesy come true, they strongly objected to pain. “Get rid of the cursed child. Give him over to the pyre.” But the boy’s mother refused to let him burn in the fire.

Though it grieved her deeply she knew what she had to do. With tears streaming down, she said goodbye to her child with eyes of blue. She knew he’d be safe with the world at his side, but for her other son she must find somewhere to hide. And so she took off, her cursed son in her arms, a mother refusing to let her child come to harm.

And so from that day a sad story begins. Here is the tale of the cursed of two twins. . .
