I’m hoping these reach you, they refuse to tell me if it does. They won’t tell me how you are, or if you miss me. They always say the same thing.
“We’ll take it. Don’t worry.”
Don’t worry, they say. I don’t, not anymore. I feel as if there is less to be anxious about the older I grow. You used to say that it would happen, that someday I’d stop caring so much about the money and the things I’d get. You were right. I’m sorry, I was just thinking of our baby.
It didn’t matter in the end.
She isn’t as pretty as you. I can’t help but compare her to you in everyway. I think she knows I’m doing it, and I can’t manage to answer her when she asks if I am.
The sun is finally coming out of hiding and I’m going to go help Jenny move some canvases outside.
Tell Lydia her father loves her.
Love,
Guy
