Fight for nothing

You will walk all your life, only to reach the end.

Fight for something, just to be defeated.

You can and will play the game,

Just to hit game over.

Play again and win…

There is no prize.

You’re going through life dreaming…

When you open you’re eyes and awake it’s a nightmare.

You keep the seeking answers.

Just to gather more questions.

Why keep walking…

If there is just more dead ends?

Take a different route,

But there are more detours.

Pass around and reach the stop.

While you keep searching for the meaning of life.

I have already realized there is no meaning.

Keep looking for the bigger purpose in life,

When in reality you yourself have none.

Search for what should be found,

Only to lose yourself along the way.

I have walked all my life just to reach the end…

I have fought for what I believed was something. Only to lose and never know I was fighting for nothing.

I wanted it,

I wanted something better.

I keep following the path of the righteous,

I slip and travel down the road of sinners.

You say life gets better…

How can it?

You keep telling me it gets better. But all I see is nothing.

How can life get better, if it just gets worse.
