How to Live

Live life loving and not caring who

Love like you’ve got nothing else to do

Say “good morning” and “good night”

Say that “it’s okay” or “it will be alright”

If someone needs a hug, then hell, squeeze ‘em tight

Step in, step up, or step out but don’t fight

Learn to sew and embellish, so you might know

How to mend a broken heart and how to make it glow

Tug the corners of a frown into a smile

Change your shoes and walk a mile

Do cartwheels and back flips, learn to walk a tight rope

Being bendable and stretchable is the best way to cope.

Jump up and down and spin around.

Run and laugh till your heart starts to pound

Imagine you’ve got wings and teach yourself to fly

Never touch back down, just keep soaring high.

Keep your heart racing and a smile on your face

Never let the happy feelings ever be erased

Write them in marker, write them in pen.

Write them in something you’ll never lose again.

Act like there’s nothing to lose, nothing to gain

Bask in the sun and play in the rain

Splash in the puddles and tan in the light

Sleep all day long and stay up all night

Eat bowls of lucky charms and munch on frosted flakes

Pour on so much sugar your stomach aches

Go outside and play in the snow at midnight

Then sit on the porch til the sunrise shines bright

Just hold onto your memories with all of your might

And don’t ever let them slip out of reach or out of sight

Because one day when you’re all alone

Sitting on that porch, in that home

Quiet and peaceful, watching that sunrise

Regretting the things you never realized:

That was life, your childhood

Everything foolish, bad or good.

Mending bonds twice a day broken

Taking back words angrily spoken

Doing things for no reason and defying the truth

Graceless but not ignorant, and slightly uncouth

The innocence and naïveté of infancy and youth

Are caged in adulthood and never let loose.

Uhh yeah... like I said... sickening -.-; Please tell me if I should take this down or if you like it... blehh...
