This is a little poem I, Rayne, wrote hmm- last year? Yes. It’s based off a true story, so review if you’d like.

So close, but so far away

Her eyes, they shone, like a sun in the sky

His eyes, they watched, as she walked by

He loved her, that he could not lie

But atlas he was very shy

The day they met was his favorite day

So close, but so far away

When 5th period came, he was excited

His heart began to melt

Then it beat, he just couldn’t hide it

He had to tell her how he felt

He walked in; she was sitting at a desk

He walked to her

So close, but so far away

He sat beside her, in that math class

They began to talk about school

As a chance, this moment could be his last

He felt like such a fool

He took a breath and opened his mouth

But nothing came out

So close, but so far away

Finally he decided, today was not the day

But which day would be?

If he told her, would they be the same

To his heart, only she had the key

His eyes in love, his heart in a trance

C’mon! This is your chance

So close, but so far away

The bell rung

He needed to do it

His heart led him to her, it weighing a ton

His cheeks turned red, his thoughts wondered, oh shit!

He told her

So close, but so far away

She was carried away my the mob of students

Her face in a shock

He was afraid he would lose her

His heart, now locked

He turned to go to class

A hand reached out to stop him

So close, but so far away

He turned to face her

She faced him, starred into his eyes

It was his turn, what would he say?

She answered his question, with a kiss

Every bone sizzled in him

But would it last, he feared

Then the distance disappeared
