Lucid Grey Eyes
A/N: There is a picture that I drew of a young man that I don’t know, it shows from his shoulders up. I wrote this poem around this picture.
A face I don’t know, yet a face I see,
Those lucid grey eyes stare back at me.
He sees but cannot comprehend,
What he sees does not matter in the end.
He has no voice to tell me, no voice to reassure.
He makes no judgement, calls no shots.
Those Lucid Grey Eyes stare back at me.
No hands to hurt me, but no hands to hug,
Nothing to many, A love to me.
Those Lucid Grey Eyes stare back at me.
He can’t promise, he can’t lie,
He can’t break it, he can’t die.
For all he sees, he sees nothing.
For all he hears, he can’t listen.
For all he knows, he can’t remember.
I hear all he can’t,
I see all he can’t,
I remember all he knows.
But for all he can’t, he can,
And for all I can, I can’t,
Love those Lucid Grey eyes.
