I Remember

I remember the reason why we pick you

Because you had a mind of your own.

I remember the night we took you home

We put in our old dog’s kennel.

In the middle of the night

We heard a noise.

We came downstairs to see what that noise was

It was you.

So we took you upstairs and let you sleep with us.

As the years go by

You got older and so did I.

When I came home from school

You jumped on me.

You were so happy to see me

And I was happy to see you.

You were always a happy little puppy.

When we were playing outside

You always jumped over the fence.

When I was swinging on my swing

You always bark at me to throw the ball.

I called the game

Bark bark bark kick the ball.

I remember when I was sad

You were always there to cheer me up.

You always listen to me.

I remember when you got into trouble

We got mad at you, but later on our anger was gone.

I remember when we got back from vacations

You always had your head sticking out the Nick’s bedroom window.

I remember you slept with me at night

You always hogged the covers and the bed.

You were always hyper no matter what age you were.

Now I know why they call your breed

English Springer Spaniel.

Abby,

You were the greatest dog ever.

You were part of the family.

We’ll miss you

But you will always be my girly girl.

Also you will always be my best friend forever.

We’ll always love you

And we’ll never forget you.

An: I made this year ago the day my dog was put down. It left a big impact on my life. Sorry for the way this was written. Please tell me what you think.
