Move Along

Tears fall from your face

They are unstoppable, in your case

They hit the ground and burn a hole

A single hole each, just to show

They existed

Screams come from your lips

Your throat then releases a deep hiss

Your lips scared from every kiss

From every breath

Gone bad

Your ears hear the silence

That lurks in the night

Your chest swells in fright

But there is one light

Death has tried to put it out with all its might

But the memory, that lives in your head

That stays, with you, for the longest time

Remembering hurts

But forgetting is worse

Like a painful curse

So you sit, in the breezy hour

Sobbing and moaning with all your power

Your eyes see what used to be

And what is no more

Finally, you collapse on the floor

When you have wasted every tear

And every inch of fear

You stand

Your toes digging into the land

And then you walk

Leaving everybody in shock

You move on

No longer death’s pawn

You cry no more

Life heals your heart’s sore

And you move on, into the mist

As if this was never to exist
