hires a mercenary blade

will to strive or persevere,
lusting
for freedom to conquer her life—
the cost
of freedom: death.
A
self-made martyr loads a shaking gun,
devoid of
will to work for purpose high,
lusting
for freedom to conquer his fate—
the cost
of freedom: death.
Such lust
does not befit our human race,
which has
no right to kill for wanton ends,
rusting,
corroding, for freedom unearned—
which lost
the sacred breath.
