They took my wings, my family, my freedom, and my life. For this they WILL pay. All of them. – Kuro

Summary

In the ancient days of Midius, the world between Heaven and Hell, one of the most tragic things in history happened: a hybrid was born. A beautiful angel, Belle, had broken one of the most sacred of rules in the world of Midius, which was to never bare child with a mortal. Belle did not break this rule out of spite, or hatred for the kingdom as many of the immortals had always speculated, but out of true love. It was said that it was impossible for an immortal to ever love a mortal but this time it did happen, and a terrible result came of it. And its name was Kuro.

Some say I am destined for failure

Destined to lose and fall

But the only time true failure is reached

Is if I fall and do nothing at all

I WILL get up when I stumble and rise when I trip

I will hold on tightly to my faith, and be sure not to lose my grip

Many people, they say that the truth will set you free

But it is this very same truth that keeps me confined in this jail cell of misery

But one day in this short life

I WILL prove all haters and nay-sayers wrong

I’ll show them that their negativity helped me all along

Their hate kept me going, it kept me striving to do better

This is the fuel that I use, to keep me going on towards my true destiny forever and ever

I WIIL make it in life, I WILL reach a new height

No matter what you do or say, I will earn my birth right

My birth right for independence, and to be all that I can be

I believe that in the long-run, my faith will set me free

These shackles of discouragement and hate will finally fall

And I WILL be the one who wins in life after all

After all that I would have been through, After all that I would have faced

I may not be number one, but at least I would have finished my race

My race for my freedom, love, and what some might call amazing grace

When my trials and tribulations say their goodbyes, one by one

I will be waving back at them, my face beaming, with a smile as bright as the sun

For it is true that what doesn’t kill you will truly make you stronger

All my hardships make my love for my life last longer

And hopefully when I die to take my last breath

The whole world will know that he only thing truly destined, is death.

Prologue

Long ago, at the end of the Mortal Wars, grief filled earth. And no one knew why. All on the planet were sad for no particular reason. The war was over, and peace had been returned to the land but still sadness filled the land. Only the gods knew why. The gods had finally seen the error of their creations. Sin filled Earth more than ever for the past quarter century. Murder, rape, and all sin was like breathing, it just came naturally nowadays. So the gods had decided to do something drastic. They decided to bring the destruction of Earth. They all were tired of the frequent amount of terror and sin that had filled the human infested world that they had created so destruction of it was imminent.

The Gods could not bear to destroy their own creations by their own hands though, for it was too painful. So they created an entity to do it for them. They called them demons. Demons, which were still looked on as mortals, looked like everyone else on the outside except for one thing: there red eyes. The demons did their job very thoroughly: they killed humans without mercy, men, women children, infants, but there was still something imperfect about them. They had a certain bloodlust that made them enjoy killing too much. As the killing waged on, the bloodlust grew and grew until it overcame them. The demons became cold-blooded killers. They had no regard for life, love, or happiness. They thought their only purpose was to kill. The gods saw this and tried to destroy them but it was futile. As their bloodlust grew, so did their power which finally seemed to match the gods own powers. But the gods prepared for this in advance. They made it so that without the humans, their powers would diminish, and at the time, the human count was under one-thousand. The demons powers diminished after awhile and they were so weak that they began to hide under ground. But one demon, reused to hide for he had a plan.

Pravus, some call the father of death, was the demon who refused to back down. He knew that the only people who were allowed to create humans were gods and angels. Pravus chose to seduce the latter. More and more angels were being sent to Earth to exterminate the demons once and for all, and he chose to use this as an advantage. Pravus was a charmer and very good at it. He had sent countless humans to their death thanks to this, mainly women. Pravus chose his target: Belle, while seeing her kill his brethren. He chose her because she was hesitant at killing demons. She was too nervous, too afraid, and most of all too naive to be out killing like this. She was the perfect target.

A/N I like to write my stories off the top of my head. So they will not have that many descriptions and stuff at first but when I am finished with the chapter, I add metaphors, description, transitions, etc. So if you think I am not describing a lot that means that I am thinking of ways to describe it. This way, I can get my point across really quick.
