A/N: I suck at battle scenes so please give me tips on them so I can become a better writer.
Truth Hurts
“Why in the Hell, did you just try to cut my gate? This fucking gate cost money!!! I should sue your ass right now. Get off of my damn property you crazy son of a bitch!!” The old man practically screamed his lungs out. Obviously he was infuriated almost to the extent of insanity.
“Look you demented old geyser, whether you believe me or not, there is a DEMON in your house!” The growing crowd all gasped in unison.
“Now, if you want me to or not, I will go in your house and kill it with my bare hands if I have to. Now move out of my way so I can do my job!” Venator towered over the old man but the old man still held his ground.
Suddenly a young kid, in his mid-teens walked out of the house coming towards the gate entrance. Venator already knew who it was. The demon he was sensing. Something was different about this demon though. Ven could sense it. His aura was a bit lighter than the other demons he had faced. Ven wasn’t going to fall or tricks anytime soon though.
Venator brushed the old man out of the way with his hand, but got a surprisingly quick block. Afterwards, the teen came through the gate and came face to face with Venator. He was wearing a camouflage bandana, a sleeveless green shirt, black jeans, and black and white tennis shoes on. His skin was the shade of a caramel-esque candy. The strangest feature about this particular demon was his eyes. They were the color of leaves in the spring.
Kuro had a plan, so he could keep Muzu out of danger. “Excuse me sir, I am so sorry. Grandpa hasn’t taken his medicine yet, so he’s still a little cranky. Let’s go back to bed grandpa, or else I’ll have to tell Dr. Grimsky about your behavior.” None of this was true, but I didn’t want anything to happen to Sensei.
“Nothing is wrong with me and who is Dr. Grimsky!!! Stop holding me back and let me teach this punk a lesson. He says there’s a damn demon in our house. He is crazy!” Hotheaded as he was, Muzu always had time to kick someone’s ass.
Suddenly, the gunman spoke up. “You, quit putting on the show!!! I, Venator Galmarinson IV know what you are you demonic scum. Give yourself up or I’ll have to use force.”
Muzukashii was right about one thing. This guy was crazy. How could I be a demon? Demons first of all had red eyes, while mine, as odd as they were, were green. Secondly, demons always had some slight thing wrong with their body structure such as an extra thumb, or a deformed eye or something of that nature. I was perfectly normal to my knowledge, on the exterior. But as much proof as I had, in the pit of my stomach, I felt like he was right, but I just took it as surprise that he would say something as outrageous as that.
“Trust me sir. No matter how skilled you are, your force wouldn’t do you any good. Now let me take the old man inside so we can get back to our lives that aren’t filled with crazy people who carry fifteen different guns around, calling random people demons. Bye.” I picked up Muzukashii-sensei up in a fireman’s carry and all the while he was fussing that I called him Grandpa. I turned around with Muzu on my shoulder and headed to the front door.
Suddenly, a gun shot rang through the air. The crowd of people hat were surrounding us seconds before ran in a frenzy. It sounded like lightning struck. It felt like it too. I dropped Muzu and fell to one knee. A surge of pain was in my left shoulder. Blood splattered on the ground and anger filled my mind state. I rose to my two feet and saw Venator with a pistol in his right hand. My back, even though it wasn’t where the bullet hit me, felt pain also. It felt like someone was trying to break out of my back. I ignored the pain, grabbed my sword from my back and got ready for action.
Venator ran at me with full speed, his eyes burning with rage and his rapier drawn. He wasn’t but thirty feet away from me, but it felt like forever when he got within striking range. Venator jumped within striking range of me and got prepared to do a vertical slash. His moves were predictable. As he came down, screaming a cry of what seemed like victory; I thrust my blade into his upper body, near his chest. Surprisingly, he landed on the blunt side of my blade and stood their, prepared to make a final swing to my head. He did so but I flipped back at the last second, my feet landing on the top of Muzukashii-sensei’s gate.
I felt a warm liquid substance drip down my face, ever so slowly. I moved my hand towards my left eye and realized it was blood. Rage filled my emotions and something happened that never took place before. My vision turned sharper along with all of my other senses and my back ached an almost unbearable pain. I sank down to my knees in pain.
Out of nowhere, I heard whispers in the depths of my mind. At first they were not understandable but grew easier to hear. “Give in!” they said. The voice continued this phrase over and over again, so much that it would drive a normal person insane, but as I soon figured out, I was not normal. Something in my mind finally gave way, and I gave in. I gave in to all the pain, the voices, the power, but most of all I gave in to the revenge. In the corner of my eye I could see Muzu looking at me in surprise and Venator just smiling, his face beaming.
Finally, the pain subsided and wings sprouted from my back, veins pulsing out of them, blood dripping from them. My teeth then grew into fangs and my feet tore threw my clothing, claws growing from my toes and fingernails. My skin turned pitch black and a visible aura of red light shone throughout my whole body. I stood and knew for sure what had been haunting me earlier would soon come to pass. The final part of the transformation took place and my mind started succumbing to the darkness. Another presence that I had never known was in my spirit, partially took over and something told me it was not happy.
