She tried to hide her blushing face in his shoulder. This was ridiculous. It was a kiss on the forehead. She had been kissed on the lips before. There was no reason this had to be so embarrassing. "Then, let's just skip that part." she whispered softly.

"The friends part?" he asked.

She lifted her head from his shoulder and their eyes locked. "Mhm." she finally murmured.

A low laugh escaped him. "You're adorable."

"I won't be so adorable when I own you at bowling."

"Yeah?"
"Yeah."

"Well, let's make the game a little bit more fun with a bet." he suggested cockily.

"What kind?"

"If I win, you have to be my girlfriend."

"And if I win?"

She doubted there was anything that could top that. She would lose on purpose if that was what it took. "If you win," he mused, with an amused smile. He picked her up and walked her over to the computer to enter their names on the scoreboard. "If you win, I'll sweep you off your feet with all kinds of romantic notions."

"Sounds fair enough to me. Do you want to give up now or just lose?"

Nearly an hour later, the ball slammed into the pins. All ten knocked down and a stomp of a foot echoed. "I can't believe I lost!"

Ryan laughed and gripped her waist. He pulled her to him and kissed the top of her head. His smile could not have been any bigger if he had tried. "It was a win win situation for you, babe."

"So!"

"Don't know how to lose?" he teased.

"No!"

"You better get used to it. I'm too used to having my way."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Fine!"

She scowled at him gently only to receive a loud laugh in return. He pulled away from her only to wrap his hand around hers. "You are really adorable."

Casey and Jesse stared dumbfounded at each other for minutes. "Together?" they said simultaneously.

"Now, that wasn't supposed to happen." said Riley, her hands on her hips.

Casey had called Scarlett fifteen minutes ago only to be told that Scarlett was in Ryan's room taking a nap with him. According to her, he was fast asleep and they still had yet to kiss. Casey got off the phone with a threat of killing Ryan if he made any further advances. "Well, I'm calling Matt," growled Casey. She punched the speedial in on her phone and it rang only once before it was hurridly picked up with a rushed 'hello'. "Matt, what the fuck did you do?"

"I'm with Jamie right now."

"I don't care who you are with. You have explaining to do and if you won't do it now I expect you to come to my house and explain it then. I intend to get an explanation no later by 5 and if I don't, well, let's just say you're going to be in some trouble."

There was a gentle laugh on the other end. "He's kind of busy right now. He can call you back later."

The phone hung up and Casey looked very visibly angry. "I'm going to kill Jamie. She's had it after this family ever since she found out Matt was my best friend." she pouted.

Jesse pulled Casey to him and kissed her gently. "Ew." grumbled Riley sickenly.

The music turned off as the last song played. The night was hot and sticky. It was just right for the last week of summer. The loud ring of a cellphone awoke the sleeping girl. She growled incoherently before rolling out of the bed to walk over to her desk. "Hello?"she said groggily.

"Were you asleep?"asked the voice on the other end.

"It's 2 in the morning."

"I wanted you to come sleep with me. I'm scared of the dark."

"You're a big boy, Ry. I think you can manage."

"I can think of other things I would rather manage right now."he said cockily.

"Can't this wait until tomorrow? I have nothing witty to respond to your sexual comments."

There was a chuckle on the other end that made Scarlett's stomach drop. He was so cute and sweet. She didn't know how anyone could not like him. "Then, don't say anything witty. Just accept that I want you in every single way I can get."

"You're impossible. I'm going back to sleep."

Her feet padded across the carpet until she was back into her bed. "I'm going to your house in about two and a half hours. Be up and ready, okay?"

"Fine."

"Night, Lett."

"Night."

That left her with two hours on top of the four hours she had already had. Six hours was not enough for her to run on. Not at all. She groaned and leaned over to turn her alarm clock on to four AM. Sleep took a half hour to finally come to her. She was anticipating what awaited her when Ryan came to pick her up.

AN: Thanks for the review meera0617. :) I'm probably not going to update for awhile because Spring Break is coming up for me and because I only got one review so I don't even know if this story is good enough to continue. So if there's a next chapter by like Friday of next week it means I am. :)
