Save One Dance For Me
4 March 2007
4:36 A.M.

Save one dance for me –
the innocent child, so young and carefree.
Hold me in your arms as I stand on your feet,
Twirling in a divine, music-filled peace.

Save one dance for me –
the confused teenager, still young at heart.
Hold me in your arms like we will never part,
Twirling in a sweet melody of long-forgotten art.

Save one dance for me –
the young woman always wearing a smile.
Hold me in your arms and stay for just a while,
Twirling in an enchanting, breath-taking style.

Save one dance for me –
the grown woman with clouded eyes.
Hold me in your arms as we soar above the skies,
Twirling in a calm comfort that never dies.

Save one dance for me –
the elderly woman, slowly fading from life.
Hold me in your arms, forever your beloved wife,
Twirling in a Heaven always free from strife.

As years roll by and seasons change
there are those things that stay the same.
In whatever stage of life we be –
My darling, save one dance for me.
