Friends

Through thick and thin

Through day and night

You were always there

To ease my frights

When all was lost

And I wanted to die

You made me feel

It's okay to cry

When the lights fade to black

And it feels like the end

You're there for me

My precious friend

When you left this city

I didn't cry

I hid my tears

Behind sad blue eyes

But I'm glad again

And you know why?

Your communication with us here

Brought joy to my eyes

I'll never forget

The best friend I'll ever have

You didn't hate me or use me

Or stab me in my back

The only time you made me cry

Was from laughing too hard

And you never said a word

About the scars on my arm

You made me become close

To my other beloved friends

More people to help me

From now until the end

And as time goes on

And my memories begin to fade

I'll remember you, my friend

At the end of the day.
