Yellow Movement

Like a refrigerator magnet
You stuck to me with great compassion,
Each of us unknown
In the grand scheme of identities
I watched your eyes flicker back to my face;
Once, twice, and I knew what lay
Within that mind.
You gave me pride as you moved forward,
The faster swimmer in a sea of competition,
Aiming for a shore you'd never before reached.
Like a siren, your chest moved,
An alert to the world that something new
Was happening.
This romance hit us,
A speeding bus of sunshine yellow,
And knocked us off of our feet.
This road less traveled has been more of a thrill
Than any highway in sight.
